Love this kettle! Sturdy build and beautiful colour, the temperature display and ability to set whichever temperature you want is a great touch. It boils so quickly - even when full to its large 1.7L capacity - and quietly too. This is a real upgrade from my old one, and excellent for the price.

This is such a good looking kettle from the brand of Haden which I have used across the years for small kitchen appliances because they are always very reliable and well thought through and manufactured. My kettles always need to be kitchen work horses and although I prefer substance over style, this has both. This kettle is no exception to my likes. At 3000w it boils very quickly and looks stylish, being a cool mint green in colour with faux wood trim. It has the additional feature of varying temperature controls and has a capacity of 1.7 litres making it a good buy for a family or someone who likes lots of tea and coffee or has a reason for needing to heat lots of water. It is also a sensible and kind touch to have included a second replacement filter, as these tend to 'fur' up quite quickly and are relatively flimsy, so this was appreciated very much. Very pleased with my buy.

This is a great kettle that I liked enough to buy one for my daughter. Unfortunately the warning beeps to say that the programmed temperature had been reached were very quiet on hers although she was happy enough not to want to change it. Other than this question over quality I have been delighted with its value for money (when I bought it), looks, temperature accuracy and the better quality of coffe taste whilst saving electricity by not needing to take the water temperature above 75 degrees. Happy to buy again.

This is our second temperature control kettle as we drink a lot of green tea. The first one lit up like a beautiful blue bulb, but lasted 2 years. I bought this kettle because my wife wanted one to match the kitchen 🙄. So, far I cannot fault it. It pours without spilling, it's super simple to use, one button push after your temperature has been chosen. It even tells you the water temperature of your tap water before starting. It goes up in 5 degree touches, from 40 to 95. Top button, press once, tap temperature needed in, leave alone. The lower button is a keep warm button... Super simple..... Don't worry about the cost, its total class, the rolls Royce of kettles, looks great too... Buy it. After 3 months of use I have to say I'm in love with this kettle.. It really is lovely.... Sad I know, but it's quick, quiet, and beeps at you when it's ready, it even tells you the water temperature in your tap before booking.

This attractive little kettle feels a little on the flimsy side but mine is still going strong after four years of daily use. I'd happily buy this same model again. To respond to some of the 'cons' reported in other reviews: 1. The lid being too tight -- it really isn't. Just open it with a swivelling motion from the back towards the front, and keep it clean, and it's fine. 3. The button interface being hard to understand -- it really isn't. Spend one minute with the manual to get to know your kettle when it first arrives. If you're still confused afterwards, maybe the world of electrical appliances is not for you. 4. The LED display being hard to read -- it really isn't. If you're finding it hard to read, then you'll be finding everything hard to read. 5. The LED display being too bright -- OK, yes, it is surprisingly/annoyingly bright. It's become my kitchen's de facto nightlight. 6. The wood effect is ugly -- nah... well, it looks just like it does in the product photos above. If you don't like the photos, don't get the kettle. We (in my household) all like it. 7. Short life -- as stated above mine is still operating as new after four years, no leaks, no corrosion, no malfunction. The only 'con' I would add is that it doesn't go down to 50C or even 40C, which would be really useful for me. But I struggle to find any affordable kettle that does. So, all considered, very happy with this purchase.

Notwithstanding the rather short longevity of this kettle here are my pros and cons: Pros 1. Temperature control is really handy I keep it set to 95 degrees which has not impaired the quality of my hot drinks and saves money. Also it prevents the earthquake effect (see cons) 2. It is compact and doesn't take up much room on my worktop. 3. Build quality is good with some reservations about the fake wood handle: see Cons. Cons 1. The first time I used it I was really quite scared.... as it's came to the boil it's shook so vigorously I seriously thought that there might be an earthquake. The kettle very nearly went straight back to Amazon at that point until I realised that setting it permanently to 95 degrees stopped this happening. 2. The kettle lid is VERY tight and you need to use both hands and some strength to get it off. 3. Buttons are too small and don't provide any feedback to tell you that you have pressed the correct one to turn the kettle on - the only feedback is a tiny change to the LCD display - see below. 4. Like many products it seems likely it has been designed by someone young enough not to need to wear glasses... the LCD display is illegible to me without my glasses and at first I would need to find them to use the kettle but but gradually my fingers have learnt where the buttons are so I don't need them unless I want to change the temperature. 5. I find the LCD crazily bright - it's quite dazzling and I need to shield my eyes if using it in low light. On the plus side it makes a handy night night in the kitchen helping me find thingd in the middle of the night. 6. If it were down to my partner the kettle would have gone straight back to Amazon as she really doesn't like the fake wood effect of the handle. 7. Failed after 18 months Overall I now wish I'd returned it when I had the chance.

A very nice looking kettle. Very nice, the wood look is beautiful to look at and touch. Like a soft touch varnish. This is more expensive than a lot of digital temperature kettles, but in its defense, it's not limited to just a few settings. The first one I looked at only did 70/80/90/100 degrees. great, except that we bought this specifically to start matching the suggested temperatures of Green tea and Mate, which are 75/85 degrees. This handles those temperatures and everything in-between. This also means your saving money by not bringing the kettle to the boil every time! The instructions are simple, just turn it on, the digital display will show you how hot the water is in the kettle and then start bringing it to the boil. At this point you use the +/- to change the temperature and when it gets there it turns off into standby mode, which just leaves the digital display on (the round bit in the handle). When turning on again it remembers the last setting. It also has a keep warm feature which I don't use as it seems a little wasteful on electricity. The one negative I have is that I couldn't find how much electricity it uses in standby mode, so until I find that out we are turning it off at the wall when not in use.

Great looking and quiet

Already ordered a second to replace another one. It's fast, it looks way better than in the pictures, it's not as loud and shaky as others say - I don't know what they hear and see. The temp function is outstanding. When you have low water, it will overheat a bit but with full pot, it heats quite to the spot (beeps earlier, then water still gets residual heat, perfect energy saving). Display is illuminated for some time then turns its light off. But shows actual temp all the time - so you know how warm your room is when you don't use it. Nice.

The product is excellent. Easy to use and really fast in boiling water, the "keep warm" feature is very useful. Unfortunately it arrived with a small dent on the lid. Since the packaging was in perfect conditions, it did not happen during the transport. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Good brand but expensive

Very good kettle. Boils water so fast. It shows the water temperature when you pour it cold, and then climbsbup when boiling. I came back few min later and the display showed few degrees lower. Its great if you're preparing baby formula to ensure water is hot enough. Rose gold with silver and gray, kettle is so pretty and shiny looks very fancy.

I love my toaster and kettle, they are different from anything else I had seen in the shops and match the rest of my kitchen beautifully. (I just need my tiling done now) One thing to note though is they are coming from the UK, so if you are anywhere else, you will need to change the plug over.
