Remember the old song....."Works when you see it on tv, but not when you get it home"... You can actually get this to work, but the amount of effort to do so is prohibitive IMO.

I purchased these at the local $ store and didn't expect much and considering I waste much more money on other stupid things, I figured I'd give it a go for a buck.To my surprise, they actually worked! I used a light coat of (avocado) oil spray for the first ones. I used 2-3 slices of bacon (Costco if it matters) for each one to try to get a feel for which was best. I cut one strip in half and made the "bottom" and then used 1-2 slices to circle the mold for the "sides" and used a piece of tooth pick to hold the last end in place.I microwaved them for 1:52 seconds in a 1200 watt unit and got a ~perfect bacon bowl. There was a LOT of grease in the bottom of the mold but it didn't overflow. They did stick ever so slightly, but with a little effort, I was able to gently pry them off in tact.I'm not a fan of microwaved bacon, but once I put some mashed potatoes in them and topped them off with shredded cheese, they were quite the presentation! I was able to make 6 of them varying 2-3 slices. Ideally, I would have 6 molds and roast them in the oven, but they turned out fine for my 1st attempt.I would buy these again and may pick some up as stocking stuffers for the holidays given the great prices on Amazon.

Outside gets way to crispy and inside is barely done. Pretty sure I've gotten food poisoning once from the bacon not being done all the way.

These do just what they say. They work great and you can't beat the price

Don't bother buying the quantity of six because you will get one package of two. Appears to be false advertising.

It barely works, but mostly I'm pissed off because the title is a lie. It says quantity 6, but I only received 2. Doesn't work as well as you want it to.

I should be clear here. This product isn't for everyone but it works perfectly for my situation.If you want to make several yes muffin tins can work but 1 I generally don't want 12 of these at once. My wife is a vegetrian so making one just for me is great.Next if your using regular bacon you need to use higher quality stuff or you won't have a good experience tried it with cheap stuff and it splattered grease if your doing this I'd recommend putting a sheet pan under it to keep from having smoke in your kitchen. I use turkey bacon cut 1 slice in half and cover the top with it than wrap one full slice around the edge and secure with a toothpick. When made this way with the turkey bacon they come out looking as good as they do on the commercials.As with most things microwave doesn't work as well as oven however if your in a hurry start it out in the microwave for a minute or so than finish in the oven and your not losing much quality.Hope this helps those who can benefit from this product feel more assured of purchasing, and those who won't benefit keep from wasting their money.Again I recommend it if your wanting to make small quantities of bacon bowls with good quality bacon. I don't recommend it if you want to make bacon bowls for a party using normal thin sliced bacon with higher fat content for that purpose use muffin tins as many have suggested.
