I actually broke my finger trying to catch a foul ball at an Orioles/Rangers baseball game (I didn't get the ball & the Orioles sent me a ball). I tried to use a plastic bag and rubber band when I took a shower, but I had a tough time moving the rest of my fingers to grip or help hold anything in the shower. That's when I broke down and bought the Brownmed hand protector. It kept my hand dry most of the time, but it did give me the motion that I needed in the shower to wash my long hair. It was fairly easy to get my hand inside the glove, but my suggestion (if you can) is to get the injured part in 1st and then slide the rest of the hand in. The opening is tight to seal off the water getting in so it's a bit tricky getting the hand in without hurting yourself. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it did get damp inside a couple of times and I had to flip it inside out to dry. Other than that I would just hang it on a hook outside of the shower to air dry. Best thing is that I now have the splint off and I am healing!

This definitely kept the shower water out (completely) but it was a struggle to get this over the cast and bandaging on my hand. I’m an adult female, overweight but with smallish bones, so I don’t know how someone with a large hand in a cast would manage it. Because it feels like it is cutting off the circulation to my hand, it provides an incentive to take short showers.

I ordered this protector in anticipation of an upcoming surgery to remove hardware from my pinkie finger and this protector was perfect. I have used an arm protector in the past, so I already knew how good they work. It keeps the hand and bandage completely dry. I would recommend this protector. No need to worry about size, "one size fits all" definitely pertains to this item.

I broke my hand this summer and this gave me so much of my freedom back. Not only could I shower with ease, I was even able to go swimming in a lake with this and my cast never got soaked. Something to note is that your hand will become slightly damp because of the humidity that accumulates

Thickness of the plastic changes the hand into a paw! By the end of a shower my hand is wet anyway because of moisture beading up inside. Keeps finger cast from getting soaked thru, but I achieved better results and far more maneuverability of my hand by wrapping the casted finger with a small plastic bag secured with a strip of duct tape.

My husband had a wood splitter accident and I bought two of these to keep his finger casts dry in the shower. Unfortunately, the opening is very hard to get a hand with injured fingers in and out of. BUT it does the job of keeping your hand dry during showering once you can get it on over the casts.

Worked super well! My boyfriend broke his hand and had surgery a few weeks before we went to Mexico so he wasn’t allowed to get it wet. This didn’t let any water in and worked great throughout our whole trip
