could someone tell me the difference between these autotrac chains and the z chain (or super z6) made by the same company?

Auto-trac are actual chains (in a diamond pattern). SCC-brand Z-chain (and super Z6) are cables type chains. All meet S-class for thickness, while the Super Z6 are 6mm. The Z-chains and Super Z-6 have a diagonal pattern, and which wire is wrapped by the steel cable, which bites into the snow and ice. Auto-trac, as the name implies are auto-tightening and self-centering. Super Z6 requires rubber tensioners. Z-chain does not, but needs to be retightening after you drive them for a short distance.

How many chains to an order?

Just a correction concerning a previous answer; my manual for the 2019 all wheel drive RAV4 says to only use chains on the front axle. I think it is that way for some other AWD vehicles too. Check your manual.

waht does "Series 1500 - 155505" means?

I think it is the manufacturer's series, possibly a typo by Amazon, which wouldn't be a first. Just order based on tire size and it should be fine. You can double check with the manufacturer website to ensure ordering the right part number.

I order peerless 1500-0155305 for my 235/60r16 all terrain tires. its very hard to connect the last hook. is that normal? or should it have more slack

It should have more slack. Make sure your locks are not on "lock" position. I had accidentally snapped them into lock position while installing. Once I unlocked them I was able to give it more slack and attach the last hook.
