This wired mechanical doorbell chime was easy to install and works reliably for a simple home setup. The two-note chime has a clean, traditional sound that’s loud enough to hear throughout the house without being overly harsh. The white design blends in nicely with most walls and entry spaces. The material feels fairly lightweight, but once mounted, it functions well and looks clean. Overall, it’s a dependable replacement option that brings back that classic doorbell sound.

Good and inexpensive

I expected the doorbell to be much lower in quality as a result of the bad reviews I read. It is actually a pretty well made item. The plastic assembly is well constructed and appears to be quite durable. The cover looks good but does not snap on very well. It might grip better if there was a thin washer on the screws between the internal assembly and the wall to give it more room to grip. The chimes are held in place by rubber grommets, and one should to make sure the grommets are pressed completely onto the mounting posts. I found that the hole for the wiring was a little small and I drilled it out to a larger size. The hole is suitable for three wires, but I had six. Also one should be careful to prevent the wiring from touching the moving parts after installation. The doorbell should be mounted right side up (horizontal with the up arrow pointing up) or there may be problems with the quality of ring (Ding Dong). The chimes aren't particularly loud but should be suitable for a small to average sized home. This technology is from an era when loud televisions did not rule the household, and background noise may affect hearing it.

It works, however, this doorbell has one plunger. When the doorbell is pushed, the magnetic plunger rises for The first chime, has good tone. On the second chime the plunger releases (free falls ) and hits the second chime and it’s not as strong of a tone. It’s ok for the price.

Very basic and worth the money. Be careful to meaure your old chime to insure that this one will cover the unpointed wall behind the old chime.

Works with Google nest doorbell in India. Just install a transformer to convert 220V AC to 18V AC. Then connect this doorbell to the transformer output with Google nest doorbell. Price is expensive since it needs to be imported from USA. But there is no other choice.

After a long 5 isolated months without a door chime, you can tell how anxious I was to get it fixed. Mercifully, the item was delivered to my door within 24 hours of ordering from Amazon. A 5-star service! Since I am not an electronic guy, I found the installation instructions in the box too simple to follow. Fortunately there was plenty of helpful videos online on this model and I got it working like a charm within 30 minutes. It came with a 2-year warranty and the manufacturer would add an extra year if you registered your purchase with them instantly. Great value! I am happy to give it 5 stars overall rating. I highly recommend it.

This doorbell arrived damaged as one of the tone bar supports was broken and I am reluctent to return it as it would cost almost its value. It should have been backaged for posting
