Favorite needles for hand-sewing as a small hobby
I love these babies. I mostly chose these because they have cute gold tips on the eyes, but also because I saw a video about using quality sewing supplies (And I'm familiar with & love Clover). I see a lot of reviews saying these are impossible to thread- The eyes are very small, and this is the style of the needle. It is possible for me, a very young person who doesn't yet experience chronic joint pain, to thread them, although it takes many tries sometimes, especially with cheap silk thread. I find that polyester thread works just fine, but I only use it for basting. These needles I believe are for finer threads than some thick linen and cotton ones. Despite small eyes, these are bendy (one of mine has bent, but I haven't broken any yet) and I feel confident when using them. These are great for beginners (who are patient when threading, lol) as they don't snag the fabric, but are very sharp so take caution.

PERFECT FOR ME
THESE WERE PERFECT. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I went to Joanns fabric store and they did not have these in the size 10 that I like. These were perfect.

Work wonderfully
I never knew how superior fine, shorter needles are. They penetrate easily and make sewing more precise. Try them!

Eye is too small
Updated review: I've used these needles for several months, and while I still think they're gorgeous, they're a major pain to thread. It can take me up to 5 minutes threading a needle, if I can get it threaded in at all. They're a major hassle. I mostly use my bigger needles because I don't want to deal with them. Disappointing.Original review: These needles are beautiful! I have never before reviewed a product before I've used it, but I had to post this review. I'm going to use these needles soon for a couple upcoming projects and will review how they perform, but I had to post this right now. I am amazed at how gorgeous these needles are! I've always used standard, long, silver needles and thought nothing of it. But I ordered these to get a closer, tighter stitch on some of my projects. I can't stop staring at them, the gold color is so delicate and gorgeous! I love it.

Break easily
I bought these to use sewing pieces of batik fabric for a quilt. They glide easily through the fabric, but are a little long for this and break with lateral pressure. I will save them for hand quilting when I have many layers to penetrate.

Not easy to thread with quilting thread
I bought another brand at the same time, and I can EASILY thread the needle on those. These - not so much.

Great needle
Perfect size needle for quilt binding, very good for application.

Good needles
These are good needles but not my favorite. I find that they bend if I am sewing through thicker layers of my quilts.

Great
I like that these do not bend as easily as previous ones purchased! I think I have broke two so far, but that was on me 😂. I will definitely buy these ones again...when I break the rest, but I did get two packages I think, so I should be good for a while!!

So sharp it glides
Little tricky to thread as the eye is so small but it needs to be so it doesn’t leave holes in what you are sewing. Incredibly sharp, managed to go through 3 layers of cloth and through the end of my finger, so sharp i barely felt it. Highly recommend for hand sewing delicate fabrics as glides through and doesn’t damage the cloth.

Sharp and slim
I am making a quilt and the needles always seemed a bit blunt and too thick to push through the layers of material - despite having numerous needles to choose from, I decided to try some new ones…these Clover needles are wonderful, sharp, skinny small eye, but not impossible to thread… I did break my first one, but trying to be more gentle, it is so easy to use these they sew through the layers as though it were silk and don’t leave big holes!!

Great for cross stitching and very sharp.
The hole to thread the needle is very small so you'll need a steady hand. I use them for my cross stitching to prevent holes which are perfect. It is very sharp so they will be good for those tougher fabrics when sewing

Nice and fine
Nice fine needles, OK when embroidering with silk but difficult to thread with ordinary cotton or quilting threads.
