In the Shadow of Queens: Tales from the Tudor Court

Tripe
Love the real history books Alison Weir writes but this book is tripe. For someone who ridicules other authors for making stuff up, namely Philappa Gregory, she is not far from becoming. Awful.

Intriguing collection.
When you have read the Six Queens, this is ideal followup.Admit for me Alison is the absolute Tudor expert and these short stories feel authentic as well as intriguing. They are realistic and even if Tudor history isn't your thing you will enjoy these as an introduction.Thank you Alison for the best Christmas present I gave to myself!

Finally in one printed volume.
I had read some of these short stories as kindle copies but here they are all together. If I'm honest my favourite was "There are a lot of ghosts in the tower today" and was less impressed with the last story. Well worth the money.

Excellent Present
Bought for my wife for this Christmas. It’s written by one of her favourite authors. Brownie points guaranteed.
