I had a parka like this in Thule, Greenland and it was great then. The fur was fox fur back then so understand the change. I used one back in the early 70s and the line is still going. I turned mine in lot a good soldier and always wanted another one. Now I have it. I am 5' 5" with a Dad bod and the Medium fits me perfectly. We had Phase 4 or White Outs (couldn't see past your nose). This was your protection. I was surprised they gave me some mittens for free. I already have my mukluks.

These are great parkas. Super warm, comfortable, and durable.I live in Dutch Harbor Alaska. When we have high winds and white out conditions, these are what you need if your outside.

EXTEMELY SAD UPSET - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM
I purchased this a few months ago and it looked great at first. It has now begun to fall apart on the inside lining from the neck to the shoulders. The material is rotten!!! Now I'm stuck with a very expensive coat this winter which is literally falling apart. I have no way to return it or reach out to the seller. THIS ITEM WAS NOT ABUSED, WASHED OR TREATED WITH ANYTHING WHICH WOULD CAUSE THE LINING FABRIC TO BE ROTTEN AND TEAR LIKE IT IS.

Its warm.
It's exactly what I wanted. This parka I first used 1068 I was I was work on a B 58 loading chaff. It was -40° with a good stiff wind it kept me warm the and I'm sure it will keep me warm now.

Worth the price
It really keeps you warm. At 6 degrees and windy I never was cold. It is heavy. Well worth it.
