Fast and Furious 8 | 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray | Arabic Subtitle Included

If you bought this film, you already knew what you were getting. This is more of just an action film now, and has very little to do with the cars anymore. As a action film, I personally think it excels in that area with some great scenes, granted, in the usual over the top Fast & Furious way. The remote car scene stands out. Acting is surprisingly good all round although I do still have a hard time hearing what Vin diesel says when him puts on that low voice of his. Charlize Theron is a great actress, and plays Cipher perfectly. It also has the token Game of Thrones cast member(s) in this as well. Kristofer Hivju must has felt at home in that colder climate. Also, doesn't Scottt Eastwood looks like his famous father, he should definitely do some Westerns.Onto the picture. Wow, this is up there with Kingsman as one of the best 4K HDR images I have seen so far on the format. Truly stunning. The use of colour in this film is already impressive, but with the HDR it really shines, and no ugly film grain to be seen at all.So, to sum up, this franchise does not seem to be much about the cars anymore, and is just a fun action film, it ranks pretty highly in my opinion. If you decided to watch this film in the first place, you knew what you are going to get. This is more of the same, but with more money thrown at it.

Some fun elements, but of course the action is completely absurd even by F&F standards with unbelievable technology (hacking and hijacking every car in NYC to become driver-less vehicles), survive anything heroes taking point blank missile hits simply because a thin piece of carbon wing is between them and a weapon designed to penetrate battle tank armour, silly dialogue and questionable motivations for virtually everyone. Sure when we watch this its for the mindless action, but I don't like it to be so unbelievable that I'm unable to suspend disbelief at all and find the film throwing me out of the world because its being lazy about creating a believable world.The discussion of Torreto's car's HP was particularly ridiculous, with each character stating unbelievable numbers "try 1000, try 2000, try 3, no 4, no 5, its nearer 6000..." riiiiiiight, and these guys are all car experts? But the same scene is then recovered by some nice choreography and problem solving by Torreto. It does somethings right, but then in another moment undoes everything by going back to silliness.

At 8 installments, and after the tragedy that struck the last movie, Fast 8 goes back to basics. Fantastic jaw dropping stunts that keep escalating, making it a great ride to watch. It's nice that the family story looms over the action, and Charlize Theron is a great addition to the franchise. If you've loved this franchise so far you're going to enjoy this one. It's the best you can watch, before fast 9 comes out.

The original The Fast and The Furious was the first DVD I ever owned, so I thought it would be fitting that Fast and Furious 8 is the first 4K UHD Blu-ray that I own.I love the fast and furious movies and this one doesn't disappoint either.
