The best for a reason!
I’ve been feeding Northfin for the last two years to my South American Cichlids and I’ve seen nothing but healthy and lean looking growth, less waste, beautiful colors, and more eagerness to eat than your child with a Happy meal. All the best and high quality ingredients with vitamins and no fillers to ensure your fish are as healthy as can be. I notice colors I didn’t see before on other food brands with my fish. The blues and the metallic sheen on my Geophagus Sveni are absolutely eye catching on Northfin. Pellet size is perfect and I love how each formula has a different base to satisfy different fishes diets. There is a good variety with the brand. It is a bit pricier than other brands but the results speak for themselves. I made my own Super SuperMix with Krill Pro, Veggie, and The DyanariX SuperMix (Northfin’s other line of food which is a 2mm mix of Krill, cichlid, and veggie formulas). This mix is 2mm pellets for my smaller guys and 3mm for my bigger guys and not a single pellet is left after each feeding! The food has never fouled my water or gave it an odor! I also never experienced any sort of yellowing and noticed less gunk on my Canister filter with this food. There is a clay in the food to help with digestion and produce less waste and It seems to be working cause I do notice less waste on Northfin compared to other brands I’ve tested! PLEASE NOTE: There are people who say their fish spit this out and that the pellet is hard. It is harder than other brands, but you can train your fish to get used to it. I’ve done this successfully with Geophagus, Severums, Uaru, True Parrots, Electric Blue Acaras, and even my Blue Eyed Lemon Pleco. I usually don’t feed my fish for a day out of the week so this makes them eager for food. Fish and animals adapt quickly so feed the new pellet after the day off and continue feeding once or twice a day as usual. Within a week or two, you will notice they go for the pellets and will be hooked. If my fish don’t do justice, King of DIY, Cichlid Charmer, Ben O’chart, and Cichlid Bros (Promote Xtreme but mentioned they do feed Northfin as well) all show their amazing fish on YouTube so check out their fish!

Great staple
Pellets were a little big for my Geos but that’s my fault. Fish carry them around till they soften then eat them. So I bought some NorthFin flake food and bug pro. So everyone’s happy now. NorthFin has food for every fish. Best on the market.

I can't complain.. all my ciclids eat it up but by ME getting the wrong size for my ciclids it didn't last me long but other the that it good...

I don't have fish and I don't use this. BUT- every year my son puts this item on his Christmas list and every year I buy it. All I know is he thinks it's great...... and he has a LOT of fish!

Awesome cichlid food
My cichlids absolutely love the food and devour it within seconds. The colours of the fish are also beginning to deepen. The pellet size is really small though so if you have medium size fish go for 2mm pellet.

The best fish food. I find it takes a couple of days to get your fish to eat it, probably because they become used to the garbage brands.
