Holes are small
Works great. Just know that the holes are about 2" diameter. Very small, but it's perfect if that is what you need.

The circles/ dips are too small and narrow.
The circles/ dips are too small and narrow. They should be little wide at the opening to allow at least to fit a teaspoon inside it

I like this for baking eggs
I bought this Takoyaki Maker for baking eggs.I was using a cookie sheet but the eggs rolled around making them difficult to handle.I first tried sitting this item on a cookie sheet in the oven. (It wouldn't sit level on the oven racks.) But apparently the cookie sheet drew heat away from the Takoyaki Maker and the eggs didn't bake completely.I've since begun just letting it sit off-level since the pockets prevent the eggs from moving around.Baking the eggs this way brought success as they bake evenly all through and they also peel smoothly for the most part.I bake eggs at 325-degrees F for 25 minutes.I give it a 3-star for weight because hey, it is cast iron.

Need to have
Ok. You need to season cast iron product such as this one. I keep it indoor carefully covered and stored with the rest of my cook ware. The first time usage with very little oil, I experience a bit difficulty removing the food. However not bad at all and it comes out crunchy as I wish. Afterwards, it was easy.Recommend handle should have some sort of heat protection. Just doesn't make sense that you shouldn't and couldn't hold the handle while cooking because it's too hot. However, not the end of the world. I use a towel or paper towels. Just don't forget to avoid getting burn. Love it to season it, put a bit of oil all over and place it on a medium heat. Wait for it to cool down and you are set to put it back to storage. If you leave extra oil sitting on it, it will becomes sticky.

Everything sticks
I was really excited to use this pan bit was disappointed that the food stuck. I'm going to have to try a different recipe in it I suppose so that it doesn't go to waste.

Not an actual Abelskiever pan
This is a really cute pan and well made. However, the holes are substantially smaller although more numerous than an authentic Abelskiever pan. Other than this, I do like the pan. The picture I’ve included shows a real pan next to the one I’ve just purchased.
