Lots of character
This is an extremely durable and attractive planter. It will really pop on your patio, deck or planted areas. Easy to assemble and the treatment for oxidizing the steel is inexpensive and simple. It is heavy once filled so it should be in place while it’s empty. Look forward to many years of enjoying this planter.

well made, and stylish
This is the second Veradek planter I have bought. They are very nice looking, and sturdy. I would recommend spraying to hasten the rusty finish, but only if you keep it outside. The sprayed on rust formula works very well, but the rust tends to get thick and flake off somewhat. If it's outside, that doesn't matter so much, and it seems to really stabilize the rust, so it doesn't flake off anymore. Well worth the money. Rust formula: Mix in a spray bottle: 16 oz Hydrogen Peroxide;2 oz. white vinegar; 2t salt. Shake to dissolve salt. Be careful to keep out of eyes. Spray, let dry, spray again, let dry again, spray a third time if desired. Outdoor weather will strengthen and deepen the rusty look.

Love this planter. It is solid, sturdy, easy to assemble and beautiful! Absolutely love it. I did the fast rust solution and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the beautiful piece of art work.

Well built.
Well built and strong planter box. Some shipping damage that I could fix with channel lock. I suggest a cloudy/cooler day for assembly, as the metal got very hot in the sun. The wing nuts were frustrating to install. The rust needed no coaxing (the picture is after only two days.

Perfect!
Arrived sooner than expected. Easy to assemble. Perfect for my little nook. The metal is quality, but sharp. Be sure to wear gloves. Can’t wait for it to weather. Thank you!

Read the fine print - surprised that it needed assembly
I was surprised that my new Veradek Cortin Steel long planter didn't have welded corner seams like the 7 other Veradek planters I've purchased over they years. It never entered my mind the this one would need assembling. I reread the listing after the flat box arrived and saw at the very bottom of the page that this size required assembly. Not wanting to lose approx $30 in postage and restocking fees, I went ahead and assembled the planter.1) The instruction booklet is useless. The diagrams are printed in barely visible ink and do not resemble the 45 degree corners of this planter. However, I was able to look up the instruction online. 2) It was pretty frustrating trying to work with the screws and wing nuts in such a small space, since you have to join two 45 degree angle pieces. 3) One of the locking nuts was defective on the bottom piece, but I removed it and managed to find an alternate remedy. 4) I can see daylight through all joined seams, and in the corners on the bottom. Hopefully, dirt and water will not escape.The Good News is that the planter has already started rusting as promised, since it's humid here in Houston.It would be helpful if the seller would indicate in the description at the top of the page that assembly is required for certain sizes. I would have chosen a size that was one solid piece.

Try and escape from this, you bamboo!
The steel seems pretty thick. The rusting process was easy; just took a few days for the 8 mistings/dryings. I'm hoping that the plain steel fasteners will last as long as the planter.

Love it;
You do not need to aid the rusting. Just leave it out, it started right away with me. Very solid. Good weight. Easy to assemble. Just assemble it outdoors as you will get dirty/rust stains on your clothes and surfaces.

Hard to assemble
Nice planters if we can ever get them assembled. Wondering if the designers have ever actually assembled one of these themselves? I have small hands and fingers and still haven’t managed to get one 45 degree corner done and I bought 3 planters! Going to through away their big wing nuts as there is no room to turn them and try nuts. If that doesn’t work it is time for zip ties and JB weld!I’d like to hear back from the maker on how anyone is expected to assemble these.

VERY Small !!
I purchased 2 of these and I was surprised how small they are, very misleading, emailed twice the seller to return and not even a respond and Amazon says you have to contact seller.. too expensive for the size.
