Express 4K+ | Roku Streaming Device 4K/HDR with Voice Remote, Free & Live TV

We liked FireTV but something changed so we switched to Roku. I like it fine. We couldn’t get the off button to pair but other than that it works great. I’ll likely go back to firetv eventually. (We don’t have a smart tv)

Great product. Quick and easy setup and prompting. Love the voice activated feature as well as tv control (off/on, volume) on a single remote. This is our 4th Roku Express which replaces the Roku Stick that never quite worked consistently. Highly recommend

This is a handy little streaming device. I am practicing cutting the cable and I really like this. I'm sure there are better ones out there but this is nice. The only thing I would change about the remote is back lit keys. Man it's a guessing game in the dark until you get it memorized. Simple remote but good streaming. I have moved it around on different tvs and it was pretty darn easy each time. I've had this for over a year and just now am doing my review. I am also just now realizing it can do voice commands. So, do you want to read my review as I'm so observant?

Excellent streaming device for those who want an alternative to Amazon, Google, and Apple devices. I use mine on a smaller 1080p flat screen TV in my bedroom. It provides stellar picture quality and good sound. Image is crisp for movies both in color and classics in black and white. Device is easy to set up and use. Compatible with lots of popular and lesser-known streaming content providers. Roku has its own streaming channels with commercials. It's pretty good, but the selection is limited. A downside is the remote. It's a nice size, but the volume up & down buttons on the side do not consistently work. The mute button is easy to hit accidentally. And all these sound buttons are smooth plastic, unlike the rubberized buttons on the remote's face. While I have seen some critiques of the remote's voice-to-text function, it's worked well for me each time, even when speaking softly. I haven't hooked it up to my 4K living room TV yet, but want to try sometimes and switch out the old Apple TV device connected to it now. All told, I recommend this streaming device to anyone who cringes at the idea of providing their money and data to the big guys. P.S. Not unique to Roku is the inconsistent controls among streaming services. Would be great if they could agree on which remote buttons should be used for previous channel, back, and menu functions.

Worked great for a few months, then intermittently would stop, with a full charge, and would not start working until I plugged the USB c back in. Now it doesn't work UNLESS it is plugged in, essentially making it a corded "remote". Disappointing to say the least. Makes me very wary of ordering again. But I did. The new updated Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd Ed) seems to have fixed the issue along with some additional new features .

Bought this for my dining room tv,when the grandkids are here I don’t have to watch what they are watching.Works great and serves the purpose,and a good price.

I was not sure which Roku to buy. But after going through reviews and a few videos I came to the conclusion to bought this one. And, first it came before time, second easy to setup, third it has a great picture quality. In ALL am so glad that I bought it. BTW the tv am using it on. Is a 32’ flat TV old model. Thanks to Roku quality and cash savings, I now have a smart tv operating !

If you live in South Africa, I do not recommend you buy it, because most of the features do not work there, some apps do not appear and is not possible to install and if you like the soccer international live sport events you will be frustrated. The voice assistant does not work, even the voice search option

Things I liked: 1. Easily affixes to the bottom or side of a TV using the provided adhesive strip, so you can still wall mount the TV or just keep the Roku off of your stand if using standard legs. 2. The included voice remote! It now allows control of power and volume of the TV. This alone makes an upgrade worth it if considering moving from an older Roku. 3. 4K with HDR - image quality is much better compared to previous generations, as long as your display supports HDR. 4. This is a fairly low power device, so I didn't have any issues using the TVs USB port to power the Roku as it keeps it powered on even if the TV is sleeping. As a result of this, you can keep the cables nice and tidy, and no additional power adapter required, even though it's included. 5. No issues connecting to 5Ghz WiFi, though I didn't try 2.4 Things I didn't like - 1. Unable to disable the built in Roku Wi-Fi which is tied to the 'remote connect' feature. This is due to the voice remote that's included as the TV uses this feature to allow that voice communication. Not a big deal, but if I can reduce devices from broadcasting unnecessarily I still try to. Overall, a great solution for modernizing an old TV, or if you prefer to not buy Smart TVs where performance degrades over time. With one of these, you can upgrade over time and keep using your same display.

I have to share two points of view: 1- The seller was diligent in his responses and this added confidence in my purchase. 2- Now on to the product itself. I was in search for a streaming device for Netflix and Youtube only and roku gave me confidence over Google 4k streaming device. It truly works well and the UI is very easy and simple to use. I will definitely recommend buyers in Australia to go for it. However, if you have internet issue, no streaming deivce works.
