Prior to purchasing this comforter, I looked in stores in Germany and the USA as well as online. I couldn't justify paying the prices that were asked for premium heavyweight comforters, but I was worried that if I purchased a comforter online it would smell funny, poke me with feathers, etc. I took the plunge here because I figured I could return it if I hated it. When it arrived, it was vacuum packed and seemed quite heavy. I opened the package and the was NO SMELL at all, although the package indicated "down and feathers have a natural smell which will fade away once you have taken them out of the package and aired them for some time". I fully expected that it would have at least some odor, but I didn't notice any at all. Initially the comforter was pretty flat, although there was no clumping of the filling and it was very uniform. I shook it slightly and laid it over the bed knowing that it would likely puff up over time. When I returned to it a few hours later, it was still pretty flat so I just shook it in two or three large sections and it plumped up nicely. I was struck by the quality of the workmanship. The seams are tight, there are loops to connect it to the duvet cover, and there is no "dirt" or cotton shell in the fabric that is referred to in the description. The cotton fabric is actually quite smooth and doesn't make any weird crinkling sounds. I purchased a king size for my queen-size bed, since I hate the feeling of a cover that isn't quite big enough; I'm happy to report it nearly touches the floor on both sides of the bed. So far I've slept under it one night, and it was very warm with just a sheet between me and the comforter (I ordered a duvet cover, but it hasn't arrived yet). Overall, I am very impressed by the quality of this comforter. I had no such expectations at this price point. I would be purchasing another one for a Christmas gift, but the heavyweight/optimum warmth is not available. APSMILE, if you are reading this, please make more of these available!! We are using two of these on a king bed. We were worried about the size, particularly the length. They are plenty big. The covering seems to be good quality materials and stitching. They are plenty warm.

Posting a photo of my unmade bed so you can really see how fluffy this comforter is!! It also makes the noisy, crunchy sound I wanted - like a hotel bed! I’ve had this on my bed for a few days now and I love it! Worth the price. I purchased a different comforter first (cheaper) and was not impressed. So glad I found this one - exactly what I was looking for! I got the oversized king and it’s definitely long enough to keep both sides completely covered - no fighting for the blanket. Honestly though - I sleep alone so I never have to fight for covers. They’re all mine!

Absolutely comforting and also not overwhelmingly hot in summer either. We use ours year round and it has been amazing !! I’m buying another and giving my old one to my daughter!

For sure made just for winter. It’s super warm! This has been the only blanket my husband and I could actually share, due to the size. Took away one star, because you have to fluff it everyday to make sure the blanket is spread evenly throughout the blanket. That could get annoying to some.

It is comfortable, it keeps it super warm, it looks very fancy in bed, but I do not recommend that you buy it for the following: I decided to buy it for my son and since he started using it, he started having a lot of allergies, he keeps sneezing and telling me that something was stinging him at night and he was constantly complaining that the feathers were stinging him at night and waking him up all the time. I decided to check the bed and the blanket and I was surprised to find that the feathers are coming out horribly everywhere and they really are stinging when they are coming out and too much. When I took the blanket out of its cover, feathers came out in bunches from everywhere and I checked and there were feathers all over the floor of my son's room. I do not think it should be like this since I work a lot with people who use feather blankets and this does not happen to them because even though they are of better quality. Well, this has been our horrible experience. If I could, I would return it, but the time limit for returning it has expired.

Fantastic quality for the price. I shopped around at my local retailers first but nothing came close to this price. Even discount stores could not compete. I bought two queen size previously for my two kids beds. One was for a queen size mattress and the other for a full size but thick matress (12"). The queen size comforter was perfect for both. With the thicker full size mattress the queen size comforter was not too big. It draped quite a bit but didn't touch the floor. It was perfect. I didn't put the two queen size comforters in the dryer but they puffed up after a couple of weeks on their own. All were thevoptimum warmth option. Yes, they are the real deal. Lots of loft for a comforter. Not exactly light at 64oz fill weight but that's good and it's not like it's an ultra light sleeping bag or anything. No poking feathers. No odd smell. Dimensions were very close to advertised. I measured 89"x105". Advertised at 90"x104" so I would consider it accurate. I was almost ready to return it at first because I had measured it to be 87"x87" but then realized the duvet cover I had bought for it shrank big time in the dryer so the comforter was stuffed into it and not reaching it's full dimensions. Something to be aware of. Measure it before putting in your duvet cover and buy an over sized duvet cover if you plan to use one to account for shrinkage or cold wash and air dry it. Now I have King size duvet cover that now fits our queen comforters. Attached photos are of the King comforter on a King 10" memory foam mattress. Drapes just over a foot on both sides. Stitching is top quality. The fabric has a very high thread count. Almost like microfiber. This comforter is solid through and through. Totally worth buying. i think this blanket was sent used, because it looked re-packaged, and none of the tags were actually attached to it they were just in the box, and the bag was wrapped in plastic wrap and vacuum sealed with plastic wrap. with that said, i do not care one bit. i took this out of the box and put it in the dryer on tumble dry for 20 mins! #1. Weight. yes the blanket is heavy, but that is because of thread count and fill power. with that said, when it lays across your body in the cloud of comfort that it is, it feels light on the skin like a warm cloud is laying on you. #2. Comfort? Yes. this comforter easily feels like a $400 comforter. this comforter feels like a cloud is laying over your body. the only annoying part of it is the sound! but that goes away as you break it in! #3. Value for Money. i am so glad i held out, read reviews, and looked at information on 100s of comforters before picking this one. this is worth 3-4x more than it is listed at. you should for sure buy this.

We had a pretty warm winter this 2019, with only a few cold nights. I think the heavyweight was just a bit too much most nights and you would wake up sweating. I have the lightweight as well, and even that got too warm on nights we were at 0 or a little above. I still really recommend this, because when the room you're in is really cold and doesn't get central heat very well, this will stop you from shivering the whole night and you'll be able to get a good rest. I found it effective to start the night with this cover over a thinner cotton one, and then when I got too warm to just push the down cover off. I just wish there was reverse down covers for summer, because sweating at night is as bad as shivering :(

I ordered the winter weight one, knowing I like a heavier blanket. It is so thick and plush, just heavy enough. Definitely some weight to it, but it is light and airy to sleep under. The outer shell is a cream with natural cotton seed flecks, plan on using this with a duvet cover (which is more hygienic anyways). Price was awesome. Did research to find a baffle box, high fill power, certified down, no feathers, queen comforter for under $200 and this one came against a Costco one, and from feeling the Costco one in store for $80 more, this one won. Would buy again but I won't need another one for awhile.

this is a really nice duvet! it is a bit crunchy as i just opened the bag. I put it into dryer with some bounce sheets as it had a chemical smell, i also rubbed it all over with the bounce sheets but that's a me problem with my super sensitive sniffer! I have always had feather pillows so i know that the crunch is normal at first until it is used for a bit. But this is already super fluffy and surprisingly lightweight on my body while sleeping. I ordered the over sized king and it is perfect. I like when blankets cover the whole mattress not just the top. I would order this again for sure!

Nothing but good things to say about this product, it made my sleeping experience so much more better. I got a king duvet for my queen bed and it hugs ever inch of my bed. It is light for a heavy weight duvet but in a really really good way it is still thick and fluffy but it also really light and the down is distributed evenly around so you don’t get any cold spots. When I first got the item it was vacuumed sealed tight but once I took it out I put it in the dryer for 30 mins and it puffed up really nice. My room is in the basement so it gets really cold at night and this was the perfect solution. I bought a feather mattress pad and pillows and the duvet completed the look and feel. Feels like sleeping on a cloud and not to be bias but a lot better then sleeping on a hotel bed. The only thing I have to complain about is that it is really hard to get out of bed.
