Feeling let down
This product was recommended on youtube for crocheting a pair of rainbow legwarmers. I bought 3 skeins: one for each leg plus a spare one just in case. I thought it was expensive, but it was for a present. When the order arrived I was over the moon as the colours looked even brighter and shinier than on screen. When I started crocheting the first legwarmer I fell in love with the luxurious feel of the wool, and as I continued I was really pleased with the colour effects of it throughout. Unfortunately, once I started crocheting the second legwarmer, I encountered a rather upsetting problem, considering the legwarmers are for a special present. Not only the second skein had two different colours knotted together, hence disrupting the colour pattern which the first skein had followed (never mind the fact that you don't want to see a knot in an otherwise omogenous pattern of stitches, which could also compromise the stretch of the garment), but further on some thread had become somewhat detached in a fluffy mess, hence thickening the wool and making the use of the same crochet hook rather difficult (never mind the unsightly look and feel this would give the pattern). Fortunately, I had bought a spare skein, but even more upsettingly this third skein suffered from the same problems as the previous one. So, by this point, I'm even more upset because (due to time constraints for the birthday present) I'm going to have to cut the messed up section of wool. Hopefully I'll have enough to make the second legwarmer the same lenght as the first, otherwise I shall also have to undo the first, oh so perfect one, and reduce its length to match. But starting the second legwarmer further down the length of skein actually means that the colour pattern of the two legwarmers will be different - which I'm not sure whether it will enhance or detract from the overall effect... Knots easily
Crocheters will understand this - this yarn strands have a fuzz on it that makes it hard to undo a row or a few stitches. It catches on won't let go. The colours are beautiful, but too annoying to work with for me - it fuzzes up more as you go along too, so not a smooth finish

Interesting yarn colours great difficult to use
I'm dropping one star as it's so difficult to work and I would not recommend for a beginnerThis is a difficult yarn to knit in that it can split on the needle if you're not paying attention. Giving ugly loops sticking out. If you make a mistake and have to undo a row or two as I did you'll find the yarn clings to itself however patience and perseverance and it was sorted.I am currently working on a scarf for my partner with this yarn and if you use a relatively simple textured stitch (I wouldn't like to try cable stitches!!) and biggish needles 6mm It comes out well. The colour changes are lovely I'm now looking for more of this yarn type for other projects but I'll keep it simple and steer away from using it on double pointed needles as I'm not totally experienced with them.I do think a bit of horses for courses is required I also downloaded the pattern from the Lion web page. So I'm knitting a pattern designed for the woolThe patterns all seem to be free so a good source of ideas.I have enclosed a photo of my work in progress. My camera is making it look lighter that it is in reality but you can see the lovely colour gradation and using the simple knit purl pattern i am a bit sorry I promised this to him!!!

Beautiful yarn
Ordered quite a lot as I was making a king size bed cover. It was a little expensive but I couldn’t get the yarn elsewhere & was happy to buy from Amazon, reliable source & delivery was excellent. Great to work with, really soft, colours really popped as the blanket got bigger. Added bonus was the yarn could be machine washed & tumble dried. Win win situation.

Vibrant and Soft!
Very bright colours! It arrived this afternoon and straight away I had to use it! Made myself a hat but I think I need to buy another ball to make some gloves now as it’s just so nice and soft and bright! The strands split apart quite a bit but it didn’t make a difference to the finished piece.
