great camping knife if you are the cook . sheath sucks
When i first showed my wife my new camping knife, she said "Cool, now buy yourself one." Yup, my first one is now hers. bought myself one and was really pleased with it. good size for cutting pretty much anything at the camping table. use it where a normal pocket knife is never large enough. this knife is great. i hate to take away one star because the sheath is crap. the stitching came apart first day. if the knife had a clip the sheath would be unnecessary. keeping the knife but ordering a good sheath to go with it. really nice to have on campouts.

Great knife and we'll made.
I love everything about the knife. It has a very smooth opening and closing mechanism without any blade play. IT IS RAZER SHARP! So be aware. It has about 4 inches of actual blade and total is about 10 inches long, definetly bigger than the pictures portray it. It is lightweight yet has a good weight to it if you are cutting food with it and it comes with a belt pouch, and cloth pouch if you just want to store it in a drawer and a decently sized microfiber cleaning cloth. The handle has good grip and is comfortable when using the knife. The only downfall is that I do not like the finger hole for opening the blade. In my opinion it takes away from the beauty of the blade, which by the way "Miki" means beautiful in Japanese, so if you like cooking and like a good sharp knife in the kitchen that is not as large as a chefs knife and something you can store with a closed blade and portable, this is the knife to get!

Excellent folding kitchen or camping knife!
This knife is very well put together, an excellent folding kitchen knife. I wouldn’t consider it a “pocket” knife, no clip and the blade is thin, but great for kitchen and camping use. Nice edge, very sharp. I intend to get the serrated version to go with it.

Safe and Sharp
I got tired of losing the sheaths for my knives when camping and the blades ended up working their way through my gear bags. So, this became an option and the product works well. Nice, thin bladed knife that slices and dices, folds up for safety, cleans up easily, and doesn't require me to keep track of a sleeve nor does it poke trough my gear bag. Excellent value for the money.

Pleasant surprise
I bought the Miki knife for outdoor cooking when I'm hiking or camping. However, I gave it a trial in my kitchen. Wow! It arrived with an excellent edge and handled food preparation from chopping veggies and slicing meat and bread as well as any small knife can. The design gives it superior handling while working, getting the blade onto the food like a good chef's knife. At the price it's an amazing knife. What remains to be seen is how long it holds an edge and what it will be like to sharpen it, but the quality of the steel seems good so I'm not too concerned.

Stays sharp
It is not as sharp as my two carbon steel knives I bought in Osaka, Japan but it is sharp. I strop it on a leather stroping 'belt' loaded with honing compound and it keeps a nice edge. Yes, it cuts paper and for the money, I haven't seen a better knife and I am a 'knife guy" and like sharp tools.

Great for camping and picnics
I take mine to work...there are never any sharp knives at work. Since it doesn't have a sharp tip people don't get all excited and realize it is for cutting food.
