Great concept--inadequate binding
What a great way to introduce Shakespeare to a kid who loves Legos! (And even to one who doesn't. Who could resist?)However, the paperback binding is not really up to the job. After only two days of (granted, rather intense) perusal, our copy is already starting to fall apart. It's possible that we may not lose pages, since each of the many 8-page "folios" is stitched to its neighbors on each side, but all of them are entirely detached from the spine of the book, and the last several seem to be stretching the threads connecting them to the others. It will need to be handled rather carefully. For the price, and for the concept, I may be ready to take the whole thing to pieces, hole-punch it and put it into a 3-ring binder, if necessary. It would still be worth it.Edit: (2 weeks later...) I find myself being asked to read a rather daunting amount of Shakespeare to my 8-yr-old. I can manage about one act at a sitting. The binding is now much looser, but the book itself is still remarkably intact, the string still holding the folios to one another and to the cover. Have not yet had to resort to a 3-hole punch.

Broken but amazing
I ordered this book 3 consecutive times. Each time item was defective! It’s a shame because the contents of the book is amazing! I had my reservations of how well Brick Shakespeare would interpret Shakespeare. They did an amazing job! Really happy with the contacts, just not the condition of the books!

Flimsy binding
Cover falls off after looking at it for 10 min.

Entertaining if you already know the tragedies
This is not a LEGO book -- this is a Shakespeare book cleverly acted out in LEGOS.And that's fine, but it's not the kind of thing you use to TEACH the Shakespeare -- it's the kind of book you use as an incentive after the child has learned the Shakespeare. Good LEGO puns. I like the book. Miserable binding, though - handle with care.Includes Hamlet, MacBeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Julius Caesar.

Shakespeare and Bricks!
Simply amazing! I love this "Lego" Shakespeare. The essence of the story and the fact that young people in elementary school could be introduced and "act" out with their own version should create an appetite for the Bard that is insatiable.

A fun take on Shakespeare
I bought this to use while teaching Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. My students love looking through this. This book makes Shakespeare more fun for high schoolers and helps increase their understanding. The plays aren't complete, but they hit all the high points.

Love Shakespeare, so I had to buy this book
Love Shakespeare, so I had to buy this book. Who knew it would prompt my twenty-something son to read Shakespeare, too (albeit an abbreviated version!)? Can Legos accurately convey the violence in Hamlet???? Nope, don't think so.

Not quite what I expected
This is probably a very clever book but it was difficult to judge what it was like from the publicity. I wanted it as a companion to the little Lego Shakespeare for a grandson, but it didn't seem to suit the same age-group at all. I think the Lego figures would be better suited to a simple 'Tales from Shakespeare' volume.
