Good quality
These are not light weight. But will protect you from stingrays. This is my third pair, they usually last about 3 years before I replace mine.

Great for stream fishing
These boots are solid and well-made. I'm 75 and don’t have the balance I once had. The soles are heavy and thick, with a slip bottom. They made it easier to stand in a current. They seem durable but are not appropriate if you want something lighter. One year later: I ride my ebike to a stream to fish. The boots work fine as cycling shoes. I'm very happy with these boots.

Heavy duty
Pros: sturdy, seems durable, great lower foot protection, fair price point, warm while wading in cold ocean surf.Cons: heavy as heck, sizing is not that accurate, the zipper gets jammed with sand, and the lower portion of the foot is really the only protected area… the ankle area is only made of neoprene and certainly leaves me feeling exposed to potential stingray barbs. So, I do a lot of metal detecting in knee deep surf here on the west coast and there are a surprising number of stingray around me at any given time, along with other swimming critters. I never realized it until I started shining my headlamp into the water at night.I’ve used these several times and they are nice for keeping my feet warmer in the ocean water for prolonged hunts, however they are an absolute burden when they start filling up with sand. It’s like walking with lead plates on the soles of your shoes. So I’ve gotta stop occasionally and dump the sand and water out (especially when trekking back up to the beach)The biggest problem has been sand jamming the zipper, making it difficult to take off.I’m giving a 4 star because they could stand a bit more protection up the side of the foot and ankles without having to add a full on shin guard system, but the price point on these is fair and they do add protection to the lower foot etc.The zipper is robust, and I know from an engineering standpoint, sand just makes things problematic, but maybe some kind of strapping system that could double as ankle protection?Hope this was helpful!

Weight
I returned these, but never received the credit. The reason for returning was strictly weight as it was a fly out destination and I was trying to keep weight and bulk to a minimum. Looks as though they would work well and were comfortable.

Returned Immediately Because of the Weight
Ordered a pair for myself and my son to use on the Gulf Coast of FL. Mainly, for when we want to hop out of the boat to wade the flats and for beach fishing. The intention was to use these barefoot and found that they were too large for our shoe size. I'm a 10 and my son is an 11 and we probably could have gone down one size. They were comfortable, easy to slide on and off ,stiff rubber sole, hard forefoot material and except for the cheap Velcro strap. They appeared to be well made and substantial. We thought of exchanging the size but, we felt they were just too heavy for our liking and felt they would get even heavier when wet. To say these are light weight in the product description, imo, is inaccurate. If you're looking for a beefy boot, this is it. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for light weight.

Good fit over neoprene on my waders.
I bought these to wear with my waders. I ordered a size larger to ensure a comfortable fit over the neoprene booties. They fit great. I appreciated the sturdy Velcro that wraps my ankle and the thickness of the rubber door when stepping on sharp rock surfaces. Others I’ve had in the same size were too narrow in the toe box and squeezed my toes together so much that sometimes they’d overlap. These are comfortable to wear while hiking and look to be much more durable with multiple layers of rubber in their construction. They weigh a lot more than other brands I’ve worn but I didn’t notice it much while hiking.

Did not do what the product was suppose to do protect against a sting ray bar
These boots did not do what they where intended to do protect against sting ray barbs. I been stung 2 times before and after purchasing these I was happy that those days where in the past. Well I can now say I been stung for the third time by a sting ray while wearing these boots that where suppose to protect me. I was willing to put these on every time I was out fishing the surf even though they where heavy and uncomfortable. I did not mind as long as they would do what they where advertise to do and that’s protects you from rays. I would return them for a refund but I don’t have that option anymore the window for return has passed. Their new home will be the dumpster. WARNING do not buy these unless you want to use them as weights to work out your legs or want to know what it feels like to be stung by a sting ray.

Rugged Reef Boots but Still Fairly Lightweight
Very durable and rugged reef boots with thick soles that wrap up the side of the foot, easily protecting from sea urchins, sharp reef, rocks and other hazards. Heavyweight protection while still being fairly lightweight. Outperforms other neoprene booties and shoes. Ideal for bonefish fishing on Hawaiian reefs and flats. I wear a size 10 in all shoes and ordered a size 10 in these - they are slightly loose, maybe by 1/2 a size, which is why I prefer wearing thick sand socks with the boots. Recommended!

Exactly What I Was Looking For
My first time fishing. Didn’t feel a thing walking on the rocks in the river.

Great Protection
They may fit a bit big but put socks inside. Also they do not drain well. But give great support, give great footing on slippery rocks. Wish I had gone 1 size smaller but still great boots.

BUILT LIKE A BRICK HOUSE, BUT ...
tHE ONLY REASON I DIDN'T GIVE THEM A 5 WAS BECAUSE OF THE SIZING. THEY WERE HUGE, OVER 30 CM BUT FIT BIGGER. THE SIZE 8 I GOT WERE 28 CM.BUILT LIKE A BRICK HOUSE. THEY WILL LAST LONGER THAN YOUR FEET.THESE FELT REALLY HEAVY, BUT MY 8s FELT FINE.

Weight of boots
I bought these for fishing the flats, they look brilliant and are very sturdy/protective HOWEVER they weigh A lot! I haven’t used them yet but I know once in the water it’s going to be like having 2 anchors on feet. Nice product but weigh far too much
