How thin a slot does this saw cut?

I'm not real sure what you are asking but maybe this will help. The slot is as wide as the saw blade. The distance from one side of the miter box to the other is 1-1/2 inches. The depth of the cut is about 3/8 inch.

Has anyone tried to cut paint sticks with this? Regular 1 inch wide sticks?

Just went downstairs and cut a paint stick with it, Perfect. I use it for cutting dollhouse molding and other thin wood pieces.

how thick is the cut? I need .023 width cuts, what is the width of the blade?

The cutting depth is 7/16 and the width of the cut is .008 " extremely thin
