Suits my needs!
We have an older home and plugs are never where you need them, so this rechargeable is perfect to move around as needed.

Lightweight & Easy to Use in Small Places
The head on the light is small, but it is bright enough. I purchased to put in my closet because the light in there is so high, it's almost useless. This helped tremendously. If you have a prayer closet.....invaluable! Does not need to be plugged in...rechargeable.

Good rechargeable lamp for the money.
Good rechargeable floor-lamp for the money.Problem encountered – then solved:The assembled lamp consists of 4 pieces:-1 weighted base-2 straight poles-1 top pole with bend-able goose-neck and enclosed bulb. After intitial assembly, the lamp did not work. The main bulb did not work, and the indicator light did not light up.I reversed the order of the two straight poles, and it worked fine. The two straight poles appear to be identical, but apparently they are not.The height is good for reading while sitting in a wing-back chair. It seems to be sufficiently stable – not likely to tip over during normal use.It seems to be well made -- solidly constructed -- not flimsy. The User Manual says the brightness is 400 lumens. Maximum brightness is not super, but adequate for reading a book, which was my goal.It seems to be charging properly after using for appx 30-mimutes.Not sure how long to use up a full charge. Not sure how long to recharge the battery. But it apparently does take longer to recharge than my 350-lumen headlamp does after similar usage. So far – I’m happy with it – especially the cost of appx $26 -- when similar lamps were closer to $40.

Seller backs up warranty
This is as easy to assemble as it possibly could be. Instead of wires to connect, there are for lack of a better way of describing, metal jacks and inputs on each section of the pole. The poles are interchangeable. You don't have to worry about getting a particular one for the base or tip, and no wiring to connect or maneuver around. It isn't as big as I had pictued, and is more of a reading lamp than the floor lamps here with the larger heads. But, it's convenient to unplug the lamp, and take it where you want it without an outlet or extension cord. It would also be useful during power outages. One of the best thing I can say is that Brightech stands behind their products. Mine quit working (except when plugged in) after just over a year. I'm presuming it's the battery. They sent me out a replacement on Monday (or at least replied and asked my address), and sent then or the next day, after I sent an email on Saturday afternoon. It arrived by FedEx a week later even including it being Independence Day week. There may be better options (lamps for reading) if you don't need the battery capability, and there definitely is for lamp expected to put out more light in a larger area. But, the battery capability is great if you need a portable lamp, or want backup in a power outage. Plus, my assumption is that the lamp keeps working (with the adaptor) after the battery is toast. (Or at least it seems to be the case for me). So, at least you have something left after that instead of a non -functional lamp.I wouldn't hesitate buying this or other Brighttech lights. They won me over with the handling of the warranty.
