NEW Wilkinson WTB Chrome 'Ashtray' Bridge for Tele type guitars(includes Allen Key) These great 'Ashtray' bridges from Wilkinson are fast becoming a standard upgrade for Mexican and Squier Teles type guitars, because of the intonatable brass saddles, and the superb build quality. Strings can also be strung either through the back of the body, or top-loaded through the rear of the Bridge, reducing the tension slightly for easier string-bending. "This classic 3-saddle design has been around for over 50 years and is still regarded as the ultimate "Tone machine". Now with the staggered brass saddles, we have achieved individual string intonation never before available in a design of this type. The base-plate is a faithful reproduction of the original and is steel – this is very important in a bridge of this style due to the effect it has on the magnetic field of the pickup mounted in it." ***No Screws Included

Moved from steel saddles to brass barrels, very happy
Don’t be fooled by the price, this is a great product.I play a 2019 Player Series Telecaster, it wasn’t a complete 100% fit, the screw holes that attach the bridge to the body were off like half a millimeter to the front but the screws that are included with the bridge are a little thinner than the ones that come with the tele, so I was able to fit it in without damaging the guitar.Other than that, there is a sound difference as compared with the steel saddles. I don’t think as much as the other people say, but it definitely sounds less “ice picky” on the highs. My setup is a humbucker on the neck and a single coil on the bridge, and I feel that it definitely think it brings out the best of the humbucker, while taming the bridge a bit, which was too aggressive before. However the difference in sound is not as much as what I expected, it already sounded good.In terms of looks, I got the chrome plated one, and it looks really nice. I always thought Teles with ashtray bridges look a lot better than the ones with bent steel saddles. One thing that I thought was super interesting is that I didn’t have to adjust intonation at all. It was already intonated after installing it. That blew my mind, but I figured they must set the barrels in such a way that they will require little to no modification. Th actions was pretty comfortable as well, I just had to raise the D string a bit.Like I said already, the sound it marginally better, so while I think it’s an improvement there, probably not enough to justify the hassle. What I will say is that I was able to get a much lower action without getting string buzz with this bridge. I have no idea why this is the case, but that was a humongous improvement. In conclusion, for 25(ish) dollars, high quality, (marginally) better sound, better playability, and almost perfect setup out of box. Why wouldn’t this get 5 stars?

Good Tele replacement
My Mexican Tele suddenly started breaking strings...and it was getting a little rusty and worn....so I looked for a reasonably cheap replacement. All the holes lined up just right. I set the height and intonation about the same as the one I removed....and it was instantly playable. I may do some fine tuning later. I view this as a good replacement for a cheaper Tele, but if I had a more expensive one, I'd probably upgrade a bit higher. This bridge seemed to add a bit more high end, changing the sound and feel a little bit...but I'm okay with that, I'd rather dial some high end out when needed rather than try to add it in. I would also make note that It says "Wilkenson By Song" (or something like that). I don;t believe this is a true Wilkenson made product....it does feel a little bit light/cheapish. It's probably something like "designed by". As a side note...I do like vintage ash tray bridge, but I grind the edges down where you put your palm so I can feel the strings....but still have an ash "tray". I note that Fender is doing this on some of their factory models. I give this 5 stars not because it's better than anything else...but because of price point and it does the job. For 20 bucks you could try it, and chuck it for something else if you hate it.

It's ok
When you watch YouTube videos on this product, you see Mr. Wilkinson and Mr. StewMac talking about this product. Because I never did this before, I ordered one for my cheap Squire Affinity Telecaster (not necessarily this seller - but a Wilkinson) - and it was ok. Then I ordered another one for my Mexican Telecaster - the "same" Wilkinson - but you could readily see this was not the same bridge - it did not have the "tilt" in the saddles, nor did it have the adjustment in the StewMac video with Mr. Wilkinson. But I installed it. It's "ok". It works. The intonation is not great - but it's ok (I am a rhythm guitarist, not a lead guitarist, so I am not "up there" all the time) - But for the $20 or $23 that I paid, as opposed to the close to $70 that I see on the StewMac website - well - maybe one day, I will buy the better version with the hex key that allows you to angle the saddle for better intonation. For me - it's not that important. But it's better than the original bridge that came with the Mexican Telecaster.

Good brighter tone, better intonation
Decent cheap Tele bridge, used to replace stock bridge on cheap Harley Benton TE-20 Frankentele project. I like how it has drill out for top load, and through body string loading. I’m using it top loading, because I don’t have a drill press. The bridge plate is made of chrome plated brass. I took a star off, for two reasons. I had to de-burr the string hole for the high E string, because it was breaking the string at the ball end. I also had to slightly widen the pickup mounting screw holes as it was bending the bridge with the pickup installed. There is still a ever so slight bend at the neck end of the base plate at the edge of the pickup route, the rest is flat. Overall great bridge for the money!

Outstanding
Been working on a kit tele the last month. At this point only the body and neck are original to the kit. The included bridge wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I already upgraded the tuners to Wilkinson deluxe vintage style tuners (awesome by the way). I was so impressed with the tuners I figured what could it hurt to upgrade the bridge too. The fit and finish of this bridge is top notch. I would argue the same or better than a Fender reissue. The compensated brass saddles worked great for dialing in the intonation properly. Most importantly (to me anyway) this bridge is setup to work as a through body or top loader. Very happy with this bridge.

Great Rig.
This is a great bridge. Like an idiot I didn’t measure out the Squier I intended it for..(not the bridges fault haha) so I put it on a Harley Benton 52. Fit perfectly and it’s much easier to get a close intonation than the classic style. Be warned .. if you’re an intonation nerd(I can be) you’ll never get this style perfect. They’re not meant for that. But this bridge is designed(in my opinion) to get you as close as possible and also maintain the Classic look and sound of the barrel style. 5 outta 5.

top upgrade
Gefällt mir besser als die Fender-Variante, nicht nur, weil schwarz und so. Die Komensatorteil Sättel sind klasse, viel besser als die Stock-Teile.

Burr in the metal
There is a bad burr in the metal plate right where my finger rest. I will file it off but not great for quality control. The saddles are nice and it looks good.

non male
Per il costo va benissimo, certo non è un Callaham, ma fa egregiamente il suo dovere.Infatti non è il primo che compro per Telecaster assemblate o con hardware carente.
