A very well made large heavy duty lock. The Alarm function is very loud and works on movement if lock is disturbed. Simply by turning the shackle round the other way and reinserting the lock can also be used without Alarm. Comes fitted with batteries and spare batteries in the pack. Best value of its type.

Did not come with batteries and had to purchase 6 LR44 batteries.Did not survive one night. Had a sharp shower of rain and in the morning it was making a continuous clicking noise. Alarm did not work after that. Certainly not waterproof.

I've bought this lock twice before, and was very happy with it, but this appears to be a remodelled version, with the holes for the speaker on the top of the case, so it's open to the elements and could fill with water and then rust away. Unfortunately, this one came without any batteries (inside or spare), whilst previous locks worked out of the packet and had a set of spare batteries. The description says it does come with batteries, so it looks like mine were removed (the packet was open at the bottom). If you are using this indoors (eg a garage door), then it should be fine, just check that the batteries are there!!

Bought 2 of these for my sheds. They worked great first of all but after a couple of weeks both stopped working.
