Q: Is the drip tray removable on the 420?

No, the drip tray on the A420 is not removable, but due to the extra wide vacuum channel, it is easy to clean. Thanks!

Q: What's the difference between this and the A100. This seems to have more features but costs less. Why?

Our A100 was our first vacuum sealer launch. Over the last couple of years we have listened to our customers and have put their suggestions into the new A420. For example many of our customers asked for roll storage and cutter. So we added. Many wanted a "locking lid" so we added a locking lid with handle. Customer asked for more friendly user controls, so improved with a newer designed control panel which provides clearer use and processes. Our A100 continues to be a staple for many users who wish to just slam and go like our outdoorsmen and women...who want to pack off their catch / harvest. Now our A420 provides the same use just with more features. Currently the costing is less on the A420 since we are just launching it and we have made a larger commitment to production thus we save a few dollars which we pass on to our customers. Thanks

Q: Will this machines accessory hose work with the food saver brand mason jar lid vacuum hood?

You may have to adapt the nozzles a little to ensure they fit in the hood and the accessory port on the sealer, but we have many customers who use FS mason jar vacuum hoods with our sealers.
