My Daughter was doing a poem about Harriet Tubman and I needed her to look the part. The Tubman costume was sold out in her size on Amazon so I modeled this her costume after the 2019 movie Harriet. I used this costume dress as the dress which was similar to the movie. It came and it was very very very comfortable my daughter said it was almost like wearing pajamas. I used wet teabags, scissors and potting soil to stain the costume and to be inline with the period/character and it came out amazing. Once I finished aging it (holes in the apron, stretched the bottom to look torn and worn, used teabags to stain the apron/dress) and put on the headscarf she was Harriet. Under the dress I put on some grey stretchy capri leggings and her short sleeve undershirt- she did three performances at her school and wore it all day! My daughter is a little tall and big for her age. She is 7 but wears a size 10/12 so I ordered a large and it fit her perfectly (with just a little room to spare)

This costume is super cute. Prettier than the picture. The fabric is super soft. My daughter is 14 but tiny. I ordered the 12-14 large and it was perfect. Length was also perfect.

Perfect costume for my daughter on Storybook Character Day at school. She dressed as Laura Ingalls Wilder as she was reading the Little House book series that she received for Christmas.

Great for “Little House on the Prairie” fans.Gift recipient loves it and it washes well. The apron is too big, however, and so we need to pin it. Other than that it is great.

Cute prairie dress that my daughter wore for Character Day (Laura Ingalls). The material is thicker than I expected for a $20 costume. She'll get some play out of it! I bought a Large for my 9-yr-old who is under 60 inches and 60-something lbs. The overall length was fine but the sleeves were a little short. Apron straps were way too long but easily fixed with safety pins.

My daughter hasn’t taken it off since Christmas day. Wow that’s an exaggeration she does change to go outside and play sometimes and into a nightgown. But she does wear it every day. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the buttons down the front are uneven.

The bonnet came apart the first day but thankfully I am a seamstress so I was able to repair it. The synthetic material is cheaper looking in person than portrayed in the portrait. it is very shiny. not flat and cotton looking as in the photo. You should include a fabric basket with it. My daughter adores it and plays little house on the prairie in it. It fits a bit larger than expected.

My daughter does prairie school every year in the middle of the summer. this was a great dress for her since it isn't as heavy as the traditional cotton dresses. the apron was waaaay too big but she didn't want to wear it anyway and the bonnet is just adorable!
