The base game is a great game on its own. The included main expansion + mini expansion makes this box well worth the money.The external box arrived damaged but the components were all fine. Firestorm cards were very receptive to solving my issue and swapped my damaged box for a new empty box. 5* for the game and 5* for customer service !

The game itself is great. Lots of bits and seems fiddly to start with, but actually plays really easily and is a lot of fun.However, the shipping was BAD. Amazon shipped this without any packaging (just the game box, shrink wrapped) and it took a battering in the van. Bashed corner and a tear in the lid. Not acceptable since unlike sometime like a TV, the box is part of the product with a board game. Furthermore the driver then abandoned it on the doorstep in the rain; fortunately my wife returned home very shortly afterwards, or it would have been ruined completely.Of course I could have returned it; but then I wouldn't have got a replacement in time for the holidays. So I accepted the damaged goods. But I'll avoid buying games from Amazon in future and I recommend you buy your copy of this game from somewhere that knows what they are doing with respect to board games.

Firstly I want to say I cannot find a way of e mailing the company who supplied this to discuss my issue so I want everyone to know that before I mention the following. This item was received in an undamaged outer box. There was a minute bit of denting to the game's outer box which didn't bother me and it was completely sealed. However once we had broken the clear plastic seal and taken the lid off we found the inner compartments were quite badly damaged. As a person who loves to use but keep their games in immaculate order I was really disappointed to find this. I can't return it as its now opened but there was no way of knowing about the inner compartments. These compartments are beautifully decorated too so are really a lovely part of the product. Hoping I might get some feedback

I have got a lot of board games with paper tokens and I have never seen such a poor quality before. To tokens go in the bag and by drawing them they get damaged. The print comes off they get split and it honestly looks BAD! They look like I have been playing the game for years only after 2 games. Even though the game it self is good I dont want to play it. SHOCKING QUALITY!

I ordered this because it’s a few bucks cheaper than buying them separately and it includes a small extra expansion (office one).The box came all the way from England and the game was in great shape!It’s HUGE by the way. Kinda wish they consolidated it into a normal box considering all the small pieces end up in clear bags anyways.This game is very addicting and to preserve the cardboard punch out tokens longer, I spent an ungodly amount on 3D printed token shields through Etsy haha.This game really doesn’t come with any sort of container for the different tokens so I recommend buying some shallow lid containers at your local Daiso to save money because it’s nice to have during the game.Great 5 player game where you can channel your gambling energy HAHA

Disclaimer: This is not a review of the game itself, but the items inside the boxI was so excited to play this game after watching some gameplay videos. I even looked for components that can improved the setup and playing experience (inserts, ingredient token upgrades, etc.). When I finally opened the box and started checking for the base game items listed in the user guide, I was very disappointed when I realized how many components are missing—die, ALL “blank” player tokens (even the one for the Herb Witches expansion was missing) and the flame token (round marker). The cardboard tokens seem to be complete (I half-heartedly checked after I knew things are missing).As of right now, I don’t have a good impression of Schmidt Spiele since I still haven’t received a response from them requesting for replacement parts for Taverns of Tiefenthal. This added more to the disappointment that I had to contact them again and I might not get to play 2 great games unless I buy them again.

I'm pretty sure I've fallen victim to Amazon's lack of caring when it comes to counterfeit boardgames. As far as counterfeits go, it seems to be pretty decent quality, except for the bonus die.The game is excellent.

Amazing game! One of my favorites

It didn't take my buddies and I long in our first playthrough to fall in love with it. Gameplay is well paced, easy to follow, and it's addictive! With the Big Box, it adds more replayability and variety. Easy to learn, easy to explain. I can't recommend it enough. Only mild complaint is the price, seems high to me, but what do I know.
