Sojag12' x 16' Genova Hardtop Gazebo 4-Season Outdoor Shelter with Mosquito Net, Black,Brown

We were very excited to find a Gazebo of this size 12 x 16. A few things...it took three attempts to get it delivered. Very frustrating. Not sure what happened as we were told multiple stories. When it was finally delivered the box was heavily damaged. We waited for the installer to come open the box to see what it looked like. Many pieces were either bent, scratched and broken. The installer thought he could put most of the damaged pieces in the back where it would be seen less often. I called Amazon about this and was told because they had given us a discount on the previous errors with delivery we could only return and get a refund and could not get another new unit. Puzzling response. After waiting so long for it to be delivered we decided to keep it anyway. it took two full days for the installer to put together. it looks nice but the dimensions weren't accurate. We thought we ordered a 16 x 12 gazebo. the interior part is more like 10'9 x 14' ft. Luckily our furniture just fit by a few inches. It looks nice and pretty sturdy. If I had to do it again I would order directly from the manufacturer so we would have had some recourse when it was delivered damaged. Buyer beware.

Just wanted to mention. I have this sun shelter which has two tap on screws installed into each post into concrete. Well I am impressed by its strength. We just survived IRMA (Hurricane) in South florida with a few 100 mph gust one reaching 109 mph. Sustained winds around 50-70 mph. Guess what? This shelter laughed at IRMA. Zero damage! Picture attached is after the hurricane. Can't say that for many of the native trees here. Congrats to Sojag!

I upgraded my old 10x12 soft top to this. The inside dims aren't even close to 10x12, and I had to lose 2 pieces of furniture. Be sure to look at Sojags website for true specs. My old unit allowed me to hang lights, plants and bird feeders around all four sides as well as roof hooks for light strings. This unit is built with all square tubular aluminum which does not allow for hanging anything. HUGE disappointment!! There are two round hooks in roof which would work to hang a decorative lantern or similar from. But you wouldn't want plants hanging from center of roof. If none of that matters, the unit is well made and attractive. The pro installer had done nearly 20 of this model so far and had it done with zero help in 5 hours flat. It would have taken me 10!

It’s beyond me that a gazebo that cost over $2000 would come with dents and large scratches!! VERY LARGE SCRATCHES!! The fact that it’s dark brown, the white scrapes stand out even more!! I paid amazon to have it assembled and the guy said he’s done at least 100 of them and the one I got was one of the best he’s seen in a long while! He told me not to return it only because if amazon decides to replace it, the replacement will more than likely be worst. Super annoyed at this point. Oh and I tested it to see if it’ll leak underneath and YES your patio furniture will for sure get wet.

One part was mis-drilled, called Sojag and got zero empathy. I was told it would take 5-7 business days for Sojag to get me a replacement part from Quebec to the adjacent state of Maine where I live. It took 10 business days. I subsequently found another problem: A threaded insert left out of a beam. When I called, the rep implied I should have checked every other piece for defects before I called for the first problem. But you can't really notice until assembling. Given that it requires arranging for help to assemble, it is a major inconvenience to have to wait a month for the parts to finish, at which time the Amazon return window would close on recourse if a third problem were to arise. So I am returning it to Amazon and will buy another brand. BTW, ShelterLogic seems to own Sojag, so I would expect the same lousy quality and customer service. I needed this for a family gathering and instead had a partially assembled gazebo hogging the deck. The manual says: "do not leave product unattended if not fully assembled". Am I am supposed to disassemble the entire thing while waiting for a another part?

The Gazebo/Sun Shelter is what we planned to get, But, the first shipment came as only one box containing the structure and not the roof materials box. Had to call Amazon and get a re-order (almost 3 week later) to get both boxes. The cardboard shipping boxes obviously had rough handling in transit. Found several pieces had either a gouge, dents and/or scratches once I'd started erecting the shelter. Manufacture needs to arrange for better shipping companies to handle items better or shipping package improvements to protect the contents from damage. One bracket out of 4 was to have tapped threads to accommodate bolts. It only had holes and was not tapped. Had to thread the holes and find 2 larger bolts in order to complete the assembly of the unit.Also, ordered the "privacy curtains" for the shelter at the same time, but was told it would be anywhere from 2 to 5 months before shipping. The shelter comes with both a screen and a curtain track. Problem is that there were only 41 hooks shipped with the unit which is not enough to fill up both tracks with the required 32 hooks needed per track. Installation procedure requires installing the hooks early in the assembly and will make it quite difficult to add hooks for the privacy curtain once it ever arrives. Hope the other hooks come with the curtain.
