Citronella keeps midges and other biting insects at bay very pleased with my purchase.

I like it we use this in the Dominica it keeps mosquitoes & flys away its very strong smell the downfall is the metal plate not strong enough didn't know where they get these one from but they're rubbish

We used this for the first time outside. It was a bit breezy and kept blowing over so had to find something to weight it down. It hangs more like a Catherine wheel and leaves ash where it’s placed,which isn’t a big problem. But couldn’t really smell citronella, just a burning smell. Also could do with more than 2 holders so can dot around. Haven’t given up hope though that they will do the trick, but glad I got them when on offer.

We've been to the Highlands 40+ times over the past 27 years but NEVER have we had a problem with the Scottish Midge...Until this time!!We tried all sorts of products, Smidge, Jungle Formula etc but none seemed to really keep them away, we even bought some Citronella Incense Sticks from the Pound store which actually seemed to help but lasted 15 minutes at best.We then we tried these ones, which for 120 worked out almost as cheap as the others but these were twice a long, but not just that, they gave off much more scent lit really easily and lasted about three/four times longer than the cheap ones, but the main is that THEY WORKED!Sat outside with the sun going down the little blighters started to come out and before long we were being attacked by them, so I quickly lit about 6 of these and placed them around us, within seconds they had all but vanished, it stayed like that for about an hour before they came back with vengeance, only then did we see the Citronella Incense Sticks had burnt away, so I quickly lit 4 more and hey presto, GONE! It was another hour before we watched the sticks burn out before the Midge's came back, by that time it was 22:30 so time to go in.In a nutshell, if the Midges in Scotland bother you, try these! Just make sure to spread them out far enough away from you to give you a good covering.

A total waste of money, if i could score 0 stars i would. Can't remember the last time a purchased product has been so disappointing.I held lighter underneath for 30 secs, got a little glow and an obnoxious lingering smell of burnt wood, before they went out after less than a minute, not a hint of citronella.Waste of money, avoid.

These smell amazing and keep the flying insects away effectively. Yes they are very fragile and you have to be gentle with them. Lighting them is a bit tricky but it is worth it. Would recommend

way too thin, they can’t hold their own weight and give out very little smoke
