This unusual design is (subjectively) attractive, and is very efficient in moving air around in large quantities. It does so by sucking in air from beneath and from the side by means of a fan which resembles an outboard motor’s propellor rather than the traditional aircraft-like propellor, thus being very much more effective. Standing in front of the unit, one can appreciate the volume of air being moved, and indeed it can be used in the traditional way, but for best effect, the head of the unit should be aimed at the ceiling at an angle so that the air bounces off the ceiling and downwards. This is the “air shower” effect and it is very effective. One of the advantages is that the speed of the fan need not be set to its highest level, the cool air just falls over the body needing cooling. Reference to the various advertising videos demonstrates how this works. The unit when running on high is quite noisy, but that is a small price to pay for good cooling. All in all, this is a great piece of kit.

Great price with the discount at the time of purchase.I found a small initial problem with the fan blade which was loose making a slight noise was easily tightened with instructions provided then the fan was near silent.The fan assembled easily and comes apart just as easily to be stored in its box.

I wanted a good well built and reliable fan and very pleased to say I found one, yes expensive compared to other standalone units but being lower to the ground it’s very sturdy and unlikely to fall over, I use it to keep my pets cool inside the house for which it does a fantastic job. Well worth the extra money.

Fan arrived well packaged, super simple too assemble but then it rattled when running! Quick Google and a simple fix, the fan blade locking screw was loose….no almost silent in use. Moves the air round well and I’m sure I made a good choice.
