Not a miracle.
I've used turtle wax, Paste wax and Boesheild T9 and they all worked about the same. A wood working magazine gave this a better rating then all the others I've used so I tried it. My shop is in upstate NY and come spring, its cool in the basement and hot out side. You can feel condensation on the walls. This year I used CRC 3-36 and still had rust on the surface of my delta unisaw. It all came off with a scotchbrite and more CRC 3-36. It did not work any better then any of the other things I've used. The bottom line is it cuts down on the amount of rust but it did not eliminate it for me. Its a decent choice. I still use past wax in the summer months to help the work slide the table saw top.

Great multi purpose lubricant but leaky cans
Every time I pick up a can of this stuff, I need to be prepared for the pool of lube that is built up around the top lip of the can to drip off (not good on flooring etc). The nozzles are poor fitting and usually leak profusely, wasting product and making a mess. The lubricant itself works great for most applications, but the delivery system is not the best.

The BEST!
I use this stuff extensivley at work and at home for corrosion prevention on tools and very large steel surfaces (work) This stuff works. Spray a rag with it and clean and coat bare metal surfaces in the garage. Spray a 00 steel wool pad and clean off surface rust. And that unique smell... Anyway, I swear by it in my work/garage/basement shops.

CRC Technical grade is a great lubricant and solvent
CRC Technical grade is a great lubricant and solvent. It is much better than WD 40 because it is clear. It will not discolor cabinets or doors when lubricating hinges. I recommend using only the technical grade because it does not harm plastics. It can be used in electrical contactors or electric motor starters. It is almost the same price as the non technical grade and can save you problems.

You can trust CRC for consistancy
Does not gum up and is plastic safe. I use in a spray gun (made mostly of plastic) using high pressure water to clean minerals. I run through the dip tube after each cleaning session in order to lubricate piston and springs to prevent rust or corrosion.

It works
I first heard about this stuff in Fine Woodworking. I spray all my woodworking tools (with cast iron tops) in my basement to minimize any corrosion. I think it works and is certainly worth the $6/can.
