This book has been a great read for my child. It's not too hard nor very easy. The pictures and text flow together and the story follows the original in a kid friendly way. I highly recommend this book.

A good kids version
Bram Stoker’s Dracula is one of my all-time favorite novels. My son is 6 years old and he’s at the point where I want him to read novels vs kids stories. I debated for a long time whether to get him this book or not because it’s the kids version of the original.Initially it moved very slowly for him and given that he’s 6 it was a style of story telling that he wasn’t used to, ie, journals and letters, so he was often confused about the characters. It was only perhaps 1/3 into the book where he got really into it and he alone devoured the rest of the book. He couldn’t wait to find out what happens in the end.So I’m overall very happy because he ended up reading it on his own. It also didn’t feel like a “Step Into Reading” type of book for children. The illustrations are very good and follow the story very well. The book itself is of high quality and I would consider gifting it too in the future.

Please make more!
I rarely write reviews for books but this one felt absolutely necessary. My nine year old daughter has not always been a fan of reading but she loves a good spooky story. Recently I got her into the Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark series and she got hooked. She enjoys the little voices, the sudden turn of events, and as a parent it is a genuine magic to see a child enjoy reading. I wanted to keep up the momentum so I looked for other books.I’m a huge fan of the horror genre but in no way do I think my kiddo is ready for the full uncensored version of Bram Stokers Dracula yet. Still she was finishing up the SSTTITD series and I needed to find the next good read. Thank all the reading and writing gods that brought me these books.Initially, my daughter is very used to saying no to me when it comes to reading. I was worried that I might have been too late and the momentum was gone. I came up with the idea to use the book though to reenact some of the characters in the story and we made reading the book into a play. She read 60 pages that night and was hooked. Today I found out that she read 30 pages by herself during her reading time at school and also showed the book to her friends. Her friends think that it’s really cool that she’s reading this book and say, “it’s a very famous book”.What I’m so grateful for is that they really considered the kiddos with the editing of this series. They made the book kid friendly enough to the point where they have to use their critical thinking skills, they also can understand some of the emotions behind the characters when they are put into these situations and she also will ask questions which I love because it shows me that she is involved with the story. We haven’t finished the book yet but she begged to read it before bedtime. I think tomorrow she will definitely finish it and we will be moving on to Frankenstein.Overall, I’m beyond grateful to the entire team that was behind this book. You got my kid to love reading and I hope we can get all the other books. I hope you’ll keep making them. I’m a fan. My daughter is a fan. I truly thank you.

Wonderful adaptation of classic for children
Well done! The editors of this book have clearly spent the time and attention to ensure this adaptation is well written, with good vocabulary for children. My five and six year olds are loving it! Fast paced and exciting for kids, really helps elevate our reading.

High quality, approved content, pictures
I was surprised by how nice this book was. My son loved it so much he read it in a day and then read it a few more times. It has pictures to go along with the story. They took out some of the grittier bits that normal Dracula has but kept just enough to keep my son interested. Same diary entry format, same story.

A great introduction of literary classics for children 😁
While looking for kid versions of literature I ran into this book and pre-ordered it. I got it recently and it's a great kid-friendly retelling of the classic Dracula story, a quite sturdy hardcover and some very nice illustrations! My kids usually shy away from scary stories but they gave this one a try and they liked it! Looking forward to their other retelling for kids!

My 7 year old loves it
The classic, but easily digestible for kids who love spooky but not-too-scary things. Love the illustrations, and the hardback edition is a good quality book - feels solid and should hold up well to a kid's repeated use.

A great edition
This is a perfect edition of Dracula! I read Dracula for the first time a year ago. It was so long and kind of boring. The language was overwhelming since it was a different time. Even though this is a child's edition of the classic, it has everything needed. It's very enjoyable. The illustrations are amazing and beautifully done. I would definitely recommend this edition to someone who wants to read Dracula but may be intimidated by it. This is a great way for young readers to enjoy classics.

Brilliant adaptation
Read this with my girls over a few nights. We all really enjoyed it. A real page turner that had them thinking and has stayed with them.
