hold their shape
So far these brushes have kept their shape with a point after many uses with acrylic paint and watercolors.

Impressive results for noob at the right price.
I didn't want to drop $100 on fancy brushes as I'm brand new to mini painting and didn't want to invest that much until I know if it's for me. These brushes are great! They are quite stiff so you get good control and they hold paint well. I've never used the fancy brushes, but to me these are doing just fine!

A surprisingly good set of beginner brushes that punch above their weight
I purchased this brush set at the same time as another set last year (Golden Maple 10pc set, ASIN B075L8LCTG). After a year of comparative use I have found that other set to be lacking, and don't recommend them. But these Mudder brushes are something else entirely. After a year of use they are still in excellent shape and the quality is pretty much still good as new. Honestly I use many of these brushes in lieu of some of my more expensive brushes, I like them that much. The handles are nice and comfortable, and the lacquer of the handles has not cracked or chipped. The ferrules remain tightly crimped to the handle, and the bristles are all still firm and keep their shape. I accidentally left one of the brushes in the water cup when there was a household emergency, resulting in curling. But a quick hot water bath brought it back to shape immediately. When I purchased this set it was about $10 and, at the time of this writing, it is down to $5.99. Personally, I'd happily spring $20 on these without batting an eyelash, I like them so much.

Not so crisp
The lines were not as crisp and thin as I wanted. I think this would be suited for watercolors or possibly watered down acrylic but not so much oil paint.Fyi the black here was done with one of these brushes.

Cheap but good brushes
I wanted a set of cheap brushes while learning watercolor so I could find the brush sizes and shapes I prefer. I got these and they are nice to paint with and work well. One of the larger brushes in the set had a loose ferrule so I threw it out. One of the smaller ones I set aside to use exclusively for frisket. Hey they are cheap brushes but do the job well and are enjoyable to paint with. I have since bought one higher quality brush (silver brush black velvet) in the size I use most often which is 8.

durable from a seasoned artist.
Wasn't expecting to much from these brushes but they turned out to be great. Now my go to brushes for watercolor.

Great for beginners
I am enjoying using these brushes as a beginner. I had used other brushes before in this style, and I love them but they separated so much I could not get an even pull with them. With these I can use a larger brush and yet get just a clean smooth pull with them that I am loving my line work with them and all of the small detail work that I do.I would say this though, do a 5 minute warm soak when you first get the brushes before you ever use them, roll them to make sure any and all loose bristles can be removed as well. It will totally help prep the brushes before use.

Excellent value and quality
I wanted to upgrade my paintbrushes as the ones I had were years old and the bristles were in poor condition. After having a look around I decided to go with these. I know nothing about paint brushes and what does or doesn't make good/bad quality. For me though, these are excellent. They are easy to clean and keep their shape. I use them with watercolours and acrylics in scrapbooking. While I only use them semi-regularly, I am very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone who just wants some good quality paint brushes for some basic painting.

Great for acrylic, oil etc; consider your options for watercolour.
Okay, I am going to recommend that you consider other brushes for watercolour. These are not the best for that medium as they are quite stiff and don't hold a great deal of water and pigment and if you use watercolour brushes you are going to get annoyed by their performance. That said, these are good brushes all told. They are stiff and keep their point. I have been using two of them today and they have been washed 4 times and go straight back into shape after washing (with a little coaxing of course.) They would be good for acrylics, gouache and oils.I have knocked a star off as some of the bristles were not cut properly and a couple had come out in transit, but that sounds worse than I'm describing. They are fine and I don't foresee any further problems with them. They do work for watercolour and if you are on a budget and can't afford a nice synth/hair mix, squirrel or sable brushes then these will do the job. But they're not ideal. If you're painting in other mediums though, these are a bargain. I will definitely use these a lot. They are a lovely colour too.

cheap and cheerful!
These are super brushes, nothing fancy but very good for the price. I always have plenty of cheap and cheerful brushes on the go (I paint a lot), as well as my Grown Up Brushes, and they are perfect for playing with different media. The paint on the brushes (not the paint I paint with, but the actual coating of each brush) does flake off after a while but that's part of them being so cheap.

All purpose brushes
I bought these with a single purpose in mind, to paint food colouring onto marzipan to make marzipan fruit. I'm happy to say they worked perfectly. I'm very happy to say I now have a lovely set in all sizes for future creative projects. They're not the best, but they will do for most jobs. Great for the price.

Decent brushes
I paint denim jackets using water based fabric paints and these brushes held up for a month or so but are now unusable. Good for infrequent use but not for constant everyday use - good for the price though and especially if you want them just for one project!
