They work
Most stake failures result from operator error. When you feel resistance, stop pounding. No stake will hold up to being slammed with a rock or stomped on with one's foot when it encounters a rock or a tree root. These stakes work just fine for staking out a tent or tarp shelter. Good design, easy to clean after pull-out.

LOVE These Stakes
Over the past several years, I have been comparing stakes trying to find the best performers for a lightweight backpacking setup. I have tried: DAC, MSR Groundhog Minis, Easton Nanos, Titanium Shepards, and those cheap MSR knock-offs you find on Amazon. After an extremely windy camping experience last night (50+ mph winds), I can officially say these are the best performing stakes I have ever owned. They are lightweight, well-built, reasonably priced, go into the ground rather easily, grip the ground really well, and also come out of the ground when you need it.I would place the MSR Groundhog Minis as a close second, but as per my experience last night, they were not only harder to get into the ground, but they also came loose several times necessitating several large rocks to hold them there. Since they are also more expensive, this gives the Dirt Daggers three clear advantages over the MSR Groundhog Minis and means I will be slowly phasing them out in the future. As for cons, I've seen reviews saying they have managed to bend or break the Dirt Dagger heads. This obviously strikes me as someone slamming them with a rock or hammer and applying way too much force. Using your hand or pressing them into the ground with a solid object, I don't see any realistic way you could bend or break them. But that also leads me to mention that the heads are fairly sharp like the MSR Groundhogs, and pressing them into the ground with just your hand can get a bit painful. Use a rock or piece of wood to press instead and they go in like butter. This settles my search for the perfect tent stakes and I hope it ends your journey too!

Really sturdy and light!
Invariably you lose tent stakes which led me to this purchase. Used this to replace the standard V style aluminum stakes that came with my Big Agnes tent. Really impressed! The three legged design adds significant strength without adding a lot of weight! Easily drove these guys into hard packed dirt, and skirted around buried rocks and roots without damage.Note that I never use a hammer or pound stakes hard with a rock to force them in. If you do this and are disappointed the stakes bend, reset your expectations. No lightweight tent stake is going to take hard abuse. They're only aluminum. I use hand strength or a rock to lightly tap stakes in. Maybe my boot if the dirt is feeling somewhat soft. Set your expectations to these guidelines and you won't be disappointed.

Love stakes! Better than MSR Groundhogs!
I have these Dirt Daggers and the MSR Groundhogs that I use with my Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL1, and I like these stakes the best. They are lighter than the stakes that came with my Tiger Wall, and they are very strong and have performed consistently well with repeated use in varied terrains, including sand and rocky soil. I like them better than the Groundhogs because their design allows less dirt to get stuck on the stakes when I breakdown my tent, so they are much easier to clean.

Big Agnes Stakes are awesome!
My Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 HV didn’t come with enough stakes for all situations; such as guy cords etc. The Big Agnes stakes are made of aluminum so they are light, plus their design makes them strong. I bought this pack to add to my originals to cover all stake needs.

Nice for fly
I have Big Agnes tent. The stakes that came with tent are fine for tent and footprint, but the rain fly needs these to keep rain fly away from tent.

Superior quality
Exactly what I expected. Haven't used them yet, but seem like some of the best quality stakes I've seen.
