Liked the wood. Arrived in a destroyed box taped together by the delivery man. The rattan seat is rough and sticks me near the edge. The color is sprayed on so the areas near the vertical areas are unfinished. The screws, 3 of the 4 are too large to recess into the areas, so visible. The back design is so recessed towards the outside that there is no support for sitting back. Pillows required all around. Attempts to get assistance from the company as recommended on the site were refused by the company rep.. ignored box issue, requesting pictures and ...circles circles. Outcome, past the return date . Bought this pair of beautiful wooden and rattan seat bistro chairs for my kitchen. They arrived quickly and were packed well. Adding the arms on was very easy with the hex key provided. I'm delighted with how fantastic they look in my kitchen – the perfect French accent! Would definitely buy from this seller again.

I ordered a pair of these chairs. They are attractive, very well-made, solid, yet not too big for my small dining area. Very comfortable, too! I will probably order the armless version in the future.

I love the construction and look of this side chair! Even though it had a rattan seat, I decided to purchase a cushion for it. I purchased the "Barnett Products Dining Chair Pad with Ties" and it looks beautiful. Looks great in my living room.....the perfect side chair!

I like the dining room chair, but it smelled very toxic when we unwrapped it frm the package. The paint or varnish used smells very toxic and strong. I want to know if the company can use an organic paint or no varnish in the future on theses chairs. Leave the elm wood more natural.

The chairs are sturdy and just as pIctured however the white wash which is meant to produce an over all wash with the wood grain coming through is unusually heavy in some spots. If you are looking for a more even grey finish and no "shabby chic" effect these may disappoint. Overall I am very pleased with the chairs and would not return them for this reason. The other thing is they had a very chemical smell when they arrived and I couldn't have them in the kitchen. I left them outside for a week on the porch and spritzed them lightly with 1-1 vinegar and water and placed them in the sun. The woven seats smelled the worst however they are 90% better and can take their place at the table now.
