If you need immediate relief, this little tube absolutely delivers. Unfortunately, the flavor profile could best be described as “radioactive clove-flavored regret,” and the relief only hangs around for about an hour before wandering off to pursue other interests. So while I genuinely appreciate its effectiveness and budget-friendly price, I would still recommend spending the extra dollar or two on the better-known competitor if you can. Still, for quick emergency relief in a pinch, IODENT performs admirably and earns its stars through sheer speed and usefulness — even if your taste buds may briefly consider filing a formal complaint.

Very effective, fast relief

Compared to orajel, this product is effective but somewhat nasty tasting.

Easy application, works within about 10 seconds and lasts at least an hour. No irritation to gums & has a bitter after taste.
