So glad she's back!!!
Happy was the day that I realized there was a new Casey Jones book to read! And Ms Munger did not disappoint me! When I started reading, I couldn't imagine enjoying a book about two Little People exotic dancers! So not my style, but within pages I was hooked. Turns out there was a lot of psychology/family issues/deep friendships/and shockers packed within those 264 pages! Parts of it I didn't like. (Burly and his passive-aggressive attitude for one. Why help someone if you hate them so?) Parts were horrible. (Rats death.) Parts were funny and included lovable characters. (Marcus and his assessment of Casey's note taking.) But the total package was a fun to read and exciting mystery. I echo other readers in hoping there is at least one more book so we can see Casey get her HEA.Really enjoyed this book!!!

Believable woman
It's a pleasure to read a story with a believable main character. A woman who is normal, not Jessica Rabbit sexy. A woman with the drive to keep going. This is fast paced and fun to read with just enough twists.

Hooked on Casey
Katy Munger has turned out another gripping mystery. Just like all the previous books in the series, Fire and Rain will keep you reading late into the night. Full of surprises, a bit of romance, many twists and turns, the quirky (and often aggravating) P.I. Casey will keep you entertained, whether it's on the edge of your seat during her often hare-brained escapades or laughing out loud at her bizarre sense of humor. While each book could stand alone, the endings in every one always leave you wanting more.I highly recommend you read the series in order, if only to keep the men in her life straight!

Lots of fun!
You couldn't ask for a better, light-hearted look at the world of dwarf strippers, motorcycle gangs, kidnappings and ... well, you'll have to see for yourself! I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Most highly recommended!

Nail biter and enough like life to be interesting all the way through. I recommend this one and I'll read more by this author.

A Well-Done Piece of Southern Urban Noir
I've read all the books in the Casey Jones series (this is my favorite of Ms. Munger's detective series) and she's pulled off another winner. Reading the first chapter online was enough to convince me this would be an incredibly fun read, and it is. It's also moving and full of wonderfully realized characters. In addition to the mystery we get observations about the rapid social changes affecting Casey's world and the gentrification of North Carolina cities.Casey is tough, driven and cares about her clients; once she gets her teeth into a mystery, nothing will stop her. Highly recommended.

Loved it
Great to see Casey Jones back in action after a long absence.Enjoyed her smart assery. Plenty of action in a plot involving small people, bikers and endless krispy kremes. Hopefully next instalment isn't too far away.

Really good
Well deserving of five stars, kidnappings and murders. Plus Gangsters and Bikers. Plenty of action and Casey is right in the middle of it as usual.
