Engineered as a true drop-in replacement for 12/14vdc S8 "pear shape" double-contact bayonet base (Ba15D) filament miniature light bulbs. Voltage dependent dimming( led dims as forward voltage decreases). Dimensions are marginally smaller to guaranteed no-questions replacement, but light source is exactly the same height to ensure no adverse affect to light projection in all fixtures, while providing more total light output. Diffuser lens is optimized to project perfectly balanced 360 omni-directional light to match the OEM filament style bulb. Virtually no heat generated and design life in excess of 10,000hrs.
