KitchenAid KSMC8QBOWL 8-Quart Mixing Bowl with J Hook Handle, Stainless Steel, NSF, 8quarts

The description here and at the kitchenaid website both state that this bowl will not fit the 5.5 qt bowl-lift mixer model KSM55. I bought it before I read that and planned on returning it when it arrived. I'm happy to say that it does fit that mixer. I attached it and raised it up and ran the machine. It works perfectly.

The 8-quart size gives me so much room for big batches of dough or batters, and it fits my KitchenAid perfectly. The stainless steel feels sturdy and easy to clean, and having an extra bowl on hand saves so much time between recipes. Exceeded my expectations and now a must-have in my kitchen!

I have a battery of mixers , usually working with my commercial 20 Qt stainless Hobart mixer , yet sometimes I need something smaller and my 7 qt Ankarsrum mixer or my KitchenAide 6 qt fills in. Yet this 8 Qt commercial is a blessing and I am so happy I added it to my batterie de cuisine! It does the smaller batches perfectly! As a pastry chef, I highly recommend.

Was skeptical about purchasing the 8 quart bowl because I was not sure if it would fit with my Professional 600 which is a 6 quart mixer, but the 8 quart bowl fit perfectly. It is the same diameter of the 6 quart, just a little deeper. I was worried that it would not scrape the bottom, but it did using my scraper blade. I have not tried it with the normal blade because I no longer use it. Also, I just mix cake mixes or icing in my mixer. I am not using it to mix dough. I am glad it worked because I wanted to be able to mix at least 4-5 batches of cake batter without destroying my kitchen. So far, I have mixed 4 batches of cake batter at once without making a huge mess and have room at the top of the bowl. The machine did not struggle or have any issues.

Although a bit expensive, I'm glad I invested. When baking I need 2 - one for cake and one for icing or meal prep I'm doing at the same time (I don't wash anything by hand) This bowl is higher than my other so it prevents the flour blow-out I get on the shorter bowl. Recommend without reservation

theres white stain on the bottom of the bowl.

I absolutely love this bowl, I can fit so much into it and make larger amounts of batter at one time! I purchased separately a paddle at scrapes the edges as it mixes, and I couldn’t be happier

El equipo original de la unidad tiene solamente un "bowl" o recipiente; en ocasiones, había que esperar a terminar un proceso con éste, lavarlo y secarlo, para poder comenzar otro proceso; con una segunda unidad, esto ya no es necesario y se pueden hacer dos procesos al mismo tiempo.

Igual que el que incluyen con la batidora, sirve mucho tener dos o más para hacer diferentes mezclas
