A few points to think about
Well, I bought this item to save time but it was same time because I had to wash everything after each step, that takes a lot of time, yes, you can use dishwasher when you done, but most of dishes more complicated then one simple step.Second, I didn’t like what I can’t Slow down the speed and as a result I can’t create my favorite souse as it should to be. This is actually a huge minus, sometimes you need use slow speed but not with this processor. And finally for me it is way too bulky.Too much waste of potatoe/carrot/beets ( that I have tried to peel) not the ideal oval shape. The rest is fine, but this points make me return the processor. It is not cheap and I expected more

The best of the best
I've been a fan of Breville appliances for a long time (owned 4 of them even before this one) and this one doesn't disappoint. Expensive, but they last forever and then are just getting started, so well worth the investment. This one is no exception: well-conceived, reasonably small footprint, a bit noisy but not unreasonable, and it slices and dices so fast it seems almost a waste of time to take it out until you figure how long a given job would take otherwise! So far I've used it for mayonnaise, sauces, vegetables, creamed soups, almond milk - it just does it all, way faster than you can get the ingredients cleaned and fed in there. I generally don't bother cleaning the bowl between steps, especially if it's for the same dish, but it's quick to rinse, and you could always order an extra bowl or two if you have more storage space than rinsing time; the staff at Breville is exceptionally helpful. When you are using the slicing feature, you have to be a bit careful to keep things upright or they get caught under the cover, and you get big flat lengthwise slices sitting on top of the blade instead of a cross-section slices inside the bowl. That one's mostly a "training issue" though - I think it can be managed if only I could figure the right sleight of wrist! Most parts are dishwasher-safe, but some hand-washing is required with each use, as the large plunger - not dishwasher-safe - needs to be used to get the machine going. The best of the best feature of this machine is the dicing: it comes with a 12-mm dicing set, and you can get 8-mm and 16-mm as options. I got it mostly for that feature - originally to help deal with arthritis but you really don't need that to justify getting this baby: it's difficult to get things diced this evenly and it does it in seconds - takes 'waaay longer to clean the vegetables than to cut them. The machine is a real timesaver and totally Breville-sturdy. Definitely would recommend it to a friend.

Well worth the price
I was a bit hesitant to spend the extra money for the dice and peel kit but I’m so so happy I bought this. This food processor is very powerful. It’s strong enough to knead tough doughs and to make purées out of pretty much anything. The attachments are what really takes it to another level. It seems as though there isn’t a kitchen task that can’t be done by this thing - the question though is is it worth the extra time of setting up and cleaning everything. I’ve found that I use it a lot as soon as I have a lot of slicing or dicing to do (for example when preparing a larger dish) or to replace tasks I don’t like doing like shredding cheese (it can shred a block of cheese perfectly in seconds).Cleaning is fairly easy all around and almost everything is dishwasher safe BUT if you read the manual they actually recommend to avoid putting the bowl and lid in the dishwasher every time you use it as it can cause the parts to wear prematurely.

after extensive research
I like to buy kitchen appliances that will last for about twenty years so I hope this one will. I am replacing a Braun food processor which has done very well for more than twenty years with a lot of use. I especially liked the fact that it could adjust the speed of the blade, whereas the Breville only has one speed. The reasons I went for the Brevelle are the following. First, it has many other features. Second, it has an adjustable slicing blade which really works well. Third, well maybe first, the hole that it has for receiving vegetables and so on is bigger than almost all other alternatives this gives you the opportunity to use whole onions, tomatoes, potatoes and so on. This is impossible on most other models. The only negative so far is the case for the attachments. It is a great idea, but the plastic is kind of cheap and has already cracked even though I have hardly touched it. Brevelle should think about investing maybe a dollar in a slightly better plastic for this component because other that that it is a really good product.

Very, very sharp blades and great storage container for blades and other parts it comes with
Great machine! However, locking the bowl in is not a great position. The handle is right in front where the panel is for running the machine. Other then that, the little I have used it so far, is fantastic. Love the engine. Although on the louder side, certainly not overwhelming at all or even high pitched, it’s a good sound unlike other models that are quite loud and high pitched. Believe what you read, blades are very, very sharp. Love the storage where all the blades and other parts fit. All in all, I highly recommend this wonderful piece of art in your kitchen. Absolutely no regrets!
