My cats used my last curtain rods for a catwalk and the metal gave way under their weight. I ordered these because they appeared to be heavy duty. They are. They are also finished off all around so there are no razor sharp edges anywhere to rip the curtains. All the hardware is included although I couldn't get my old hardware off and these fit nicely on the old stuff. The new hardware is made better and screws in to the wall. My old ones are nailed in and I risked damage to the wall getting them out.I needed a 60" rod. I got the 48/84 inch (that measurement may be wrong. I'm not going to look it up for the review.) After I ordered it, I decided to look for a center support bracket to help keep my cats up. They are about $5. I decided to wait till I got this rod so I could get exactly what I needed. Surprise! The center support came with the new rod. I couldn't be happier. I also like the 2" clearance from the wall instead of the 3" I had before. Great product.

However this was a perfect one being that I had a 1 inch protrusion this one let me go smoothly around it without affecting the outcome. It holds a pretty heavy embroidered curtain with ease. Highly recommend to anyone needing a sturdy curtain rod. I first bought this curtain rod set in November 2020 (for $16) and used it for my bathroom window curtains and it has held up perfectly to this day! I simply put the curtains on this rod, removed the old and set/stretched this one to fit, and it has remained put ever since. Because the rod and curtains are in the bathroom they get dusted and sprayed and wiped down weekly, and there has been no discoloration, rusting, nor any other signs of damage. Compared to standard curtain rods this rod being thicker, sturdier and extendable is convenient and hard to beat! For being the perfect tool sold at a decent price, the “Rod Desyne Lockseam 2-Inch Clearance Window Curtain Rod Set, 18 to 28-Inch” gets a respectable 4/5 stars!

The instructions tell you to use 1/8" drill bit and then push the wall anchors into the holes.I tried that unsuccessfully. What I then did was take the screws and screw them into the 1/8" holes and then backed them out. Then I took the anchors and twisted them into the holes. They still did not go into the holes but did open up the opening of the hole. Then I used a small hammer and lightly tapped the anchor into the hole. You can feel when the anchor is going into the hole. Just keep lightly tapping until it is fully in the hole. If you hit them too hard they will bend. The anchors are then tightly in the holes and you can tightly secure the brackets to the wall.An easier and cheaper way to install curtains. They curve toward the wall so as to keep the sun from coming in on the sides.I have more expensive curtain rods and they do not curve on the ends and sunlight comes thru.Expensive is not always the best. Save some money and get these.

The media could not be loaded.  I really do not like shopping. Yes, I could have driven 15 minutes to the big box store to get this rod for the same price, but who wants to do that when it is 92* outside and feels like 102*? And you know what? I think the quality is better than the ones I have gotten in the big box store. Amazon saves me every day. Seriously. I love being on a first name basis with the UPS man.My window is 30" wide and the previous owner had the brackets in the wall already set at 34". So this rod, which fits 28" to 48" works perfectly. It holds well, and is made solidly. I am very happy with my purchase and would purchase this again for another window if I needed to in the future.

These are sturdy curtain hangers for medium to light duty curtains, even comes with a center support if you extend these thing all the way out. It comes with all the hardware you need to install: left and right hangers (marked as such), 4 one-inch screws, 5 plastic inserts you tap into the wall for the screws to screw into, and one center hanger. The two halves of the rods easily slip into each other, and there is not much twisting as you would see on big box store types. The rod ends even slip on or off the mounting brackets easily, making it a joy to clean either the curtains, or the window behind. You do need a drill, a 1/8 drill bit, a philips screwdriver and a small hammer to install these. A pencil would help to mark where you want the hangers to go, before drilling.

my blackout cotton curtains are about 4-5 lbs and this rod holds them easily. i'm light sensitive and this rod allows curtains to wrap around the edge to prevent light coming in. the metal lets the curtain move easily but like all curtain rods, my grievance is with the telescopic design which makes the curtain get stuck where the rods overlap. installation for me on my own with disabilities was straight forward with electric drill and a solid wall to work with. my five foot wide windows did not require the middle support installed.
