Charming Like Us: Like Us, Book 7

Great romance
Charming like Us is the 7th book in the Like Us series written by Krista & Becca Ritchie. This book is not a standalone, so you need to read the entire series, but let me tell you that you will not regret starting it. Once you start read it, you cannot put it down.This book follows the story of Oscar Oliveira and Jack Highland. If you have read the other books you already know that their relationship is stranded after one incident which happened between them.It’s hard for me to tell which my favorite character was. In my opinion both, Oscar and Jack are perfect for each other, a match made in heaven. I really loved that Oscar was there for Jack, for everything that he went through in his journey of understanding his feelings. Oscar is a mature character and having the advantage of understating his feelings from his early life made this story great. Jack tries to discover himself later in his life, at 27, so I understand his struggle of understanding the new feelings, when he already has a life envisioned.I also like that their story does not have much drama, and everything goes smoothly, with the main focus on Oscar and Jack, so it’s really lovely to see how their relationship develops. They are both romantic people, and their interactions show this, the feeling being transmitted to the reader. I truly felt their interactions, and giggled like a schoolgirl every time they flirted. What I was not expecting was the surprise element, but I feel that this is how it should be with Jack and Oscar, romantic, serious, flirty and sometimes crazy.Another thing that this book is showing is the relationship between brothers, Jack and Jesse and Oscar and Quinn. I cried when Quinn confronted Oscar, getting to know what happened to get them in that bad place was gut-wrenching, but I was glad that the bad blood between them is somehow better. I also like how Jack helps his brother to achieve his dreams, their relation is warm, and it shows how much Jack loves his little brother.I also liked that the insight in Charlie’s life and mind. I must say that in the others books I didn’t liked him very much, but now I am intrigued by him, and I am really curious to find out about his story. I hope that he can find somebody to love him like he deserves, but also keep him on his toes.And of course there are some other secret aspects, which need to be discovered and savored, because I sure did so.*star eyes**swoon* All in all, this book was everything and then some. I loved it so much, and I think that this is a great addition to the series.

3.5 STARS
Oscar and Jack were absolutely adorable. Their love was so heartwarming, their journey from the first page till the last one was something I adored witnessing and reading about. I loved the way the feelings entered the picture, I loved it when they started dating, I loved how Jack came to peace with his sexuality, I loved seeing both Oscar and Jack’s parents supporting them with everything they had (tired of reading about homophobic parents!). I loved how Jack’s Filipino culture shone in the book, I loved the diversity. I loved everything really. And I have to say, this book got better with every chapter; the second half was amazing.I’m taking 1.5 stars off for the fact that it was hard for me to feel their chemistry and connection at times, and it soured some of my enjoyment.And, like always in these books, the side characters deserve a mention. I literally love all of them. All. From Jack’s adorbs little brother Jesse (maybe Winona’s potential love interest?) to the Core Six. Despite that, the ones who deserve their story told the most, in my opinion, are Donnelly, Luna and Charlie. We got to see so much of Charlie and all his sides. His scenes absolutely floored me. Charlie is so perfectly imperfect, so selfishly selfless, a character full of oxymorons. He is so fascinating. I refuse to die before I get his book(s) on my hands. And if I do, someone better come read them out loud on my grave. (!SPOILER! We found out his love interest’s name, Roxanne!!! I nearly cried reading that scene. She seemed SO adorable!)I loved this book. I really did. The seamless writing, the all encompassing love, the friendship, the feels and the tears. I highlighted the ever-loving-heck out of this book, too, which is always a great sign. Another great installment for this series, that is one of my all time favorites. I can’t wait for the next one.

"Oh yeah, I'm dating the hell out of you."
I love this book. Oscar and Jack stole my heart completely. Their story was simply perfect. They surprised me in the best ways. I loved how their relationship played out. Jack being straight and questioning his attraction to Oscar felt so genuine. You are right their with him figuring out how he feels. I loved his journey. I love that once he admits that he is attracted to Oscar he doesn’t shy away from it. He goes after what he wants like the go-getter he is. I love him. Oscar is just plain amazing. He is so fun and so good at his job. He knows who he is and he knows what he wants. He wants Jack but after being hurt once he has his guards up. I loved seeing their relationship go from friendly flirting to being rejected to being together. I love how fun and sexy they are. This book is a wild ride. I never saw what was coming next and I loved every minute. I love the adventures they went on and how they both tried to help Charlie. I loved getting to know Jack’s family and getting to know more about Oscar’s fam. We finally get some answers. This book I swear has me so emotional. It made me really happy but also some scenes were so deep that they made me want to cry. It was perfect. This is one of the best M/M romances I have read. It was so great! I will always love this book. It made me so happy. My heart is so full of love for these characters and this story.P.S. Getting to see more of Charlie was the cherry on top of the perfect cake that was this book. I love Charlie so much I have since the first book. Getting to be closer to him makes me want his book even more now. I would die for Charlie no lie. He made me cry during one of his scenes. I love the connection him and Oscar share. The set up for Sulli, Akara and Banks’ book was amazing and I am dying for it to be November. Seeing more of the Cobalt’s in their element was everything. Charlie’s possible love interest at the end has me SCREAMING. I am so obsessed with these characters!! I am hoping 2022 will be The Year of the Cobalts! {Fingers Crossed}

highveira!!!
to be very very honest,i loved each part of this story,from getting rejected to getting attracted,jack and oscar supporting each other in every way they can.and ofcoursseeee...CHARLIE!! this man could live thousand lives and be like this...ILL STILL LOVE HIM.yes he was being a jerk towards maximoff but he is actually the reason..THE REASON that this trope started. a straight man falling for a male...dudeee oakyyy.and i never figured it out until oscar did that charlie wanted to do the series because of ALOTTT of people..lol but i still am a big fan of jack and oscar.their trope teaches just more that romance and support and kindness and compassion. its sooo much more..you'll have got to read this one man.that's it...i recommended this book.

I LOVED IT!
And the twins did it again! They created another book that I loved from page one to the last one. Actually, I can`t think of a romance series that I love the much I love "Addicted" and "Like Us" series. So be warned, this review is going to be from a crazy fan :)I LOVED Jack and Oscar... They were so flirty and funny, and they had so much chemistry... Their dynamic was great, and I found incredible how after this amount of books, the authors can always make something completely different and new.As a Brazilian fan I laughed with the Portuguese expressions, some of them are not exactly like we use here, but it was really good and fresh to see a Brazilian character in a series that I love so much... The story was addictive to me, I couldn`t stop reading (like any other Krista & Becca`s book).About the others characters, I have to say that Charlie won my heart in this book. As a truly Moffy fan he was not one of my favorites, but he was really on point in this book, and I can`t wait to read a book just about him. I really want Charlie to fall in love and be FINALLY extremely happy. (Should we be hopefull about him and Roxanne Ruiz??? Please say yes!)Alsooo, can we have books about Jesse and Winona and Becket and Joana???

I always love reading a Krista and Becca Ritchie book and their Like Is series is amazing. They have a way of making you feel like you are immersed in their world and as if the characters are real. Wish they were!

I love this series soooo much and I can't believe it's already the 7th book! tbh i hope this series never stops, i love these characters so much.i couldn't wait to read about Oscar and Jack. This book has everything i love about the Like Us series. A beautiful love story but also friendship, family, mental health rep, LGBTQ+ rep. I didn't expect to end up loving Charlie. He always annoyed me but this book finally shows us who he is and how could we not love him??i also love tjat we got bits of Luna x Donnelly and Akara x Sulli x Banks. Can't wait to read their books and no more about what happened at the Carnival heheheon my way to KBR's patreon to listen to their podcast about this book bc I WANT MORE!!!

Oh Jack and Oscar!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely one of my favourite books thus far in this series and I say that after hard deliberation as I ADORE janie and Moffy dearly but WOW this book stole my heart!!!!! First there’s a reason the twins are bestsellers, they write phenomenally!!! The love, thought and hard work that goes into these books are next level!!!! This book just screams “feel good” from the very first page until the last it was nothing but mega watt smiles! I felt like lily Calloway watching the nerd stars align all over again! Our beautiful Oscar found love with the most beautiful, optimistic, caring feel good man who falls so deeply in love back with Oscar that you just can not help but fall in love with them too! Their journey was nothing short of beautiful. Add in the fellow famous ones, the bodyguards, Charlie cobalt (really REALLY amazing in this book, SO good to see Charlie for who he really is) we see family dynamics, we see friendships, we see a whole world inside this book! I can just picture our lily jumping up and down, spouting off how they are a OTP couple and how they managed to get a slytherin to fall deeply in love with the friendliest guy on earth! 5 well deserved stars!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
