We had a sink put in our garage in 1996; and I thought the finished hardboard would hold up as a backsplash. But, it only took a few years to find out how wrong I was. (There are some pictures of the work in progress.)The sink and all the plumbing going through it made the thought of taking it out unbearable. So did using epoxy, or oil based paint. I happend to see some peal and stick sheets at a Dollar store that made me see what Amazon had to offer.I was surprised to both find better quality, and better price on Amazon to cover the area I needed. The Walplus instructions are clear and easy to follow. I scraped, and sanded the flaking finish off. Then wiped everything down with mineral spirits.The sheets were easy to apply, and forgiving enough to let you reposition them if you got it wrong on the first try. Start to finish was about 2 hours.
