I ORDERED THIS SECOND SET ON 06.2012 FOR A FEMALE FRIEND IN FLORDIA WHOM WAS MY NEIGHBOR UNTIL I MOVED TO ELLIJAY, GA. MOUNTAINS IN 2003. MUST HAVE ORDERED MINE 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO THAT. WAS SO IMPRESSED I HAD TO GET HER ONE....SHE LOVES IT AS I DO MINE. WHEN I LIKE SOMETHING FROM AMAZON I MOST LIKELY BUY THE SAME ITEM FOR FRIEND/FRIENDS. JUST TAKES A SMALL BREEZE TO GET THEM TO CHIME SOFTLY AND WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SOUND. THEY MUST HAVE BEEN TUNED BY A MUSICAL ARTIST BEFORE GOING INTO PRODUCTION. I MOUNTED MINE ON MY FRONT PORCH SO AS TO BE PROTECTED AS MUCH AS POSSIGLE FROM THE ELEMENTS. THEY ARE WELL MADE AND JUST BEAUTIFUL HANGING THERE. THE WOOD AT THE TOP, MIDDLE, AND BOTTOM ARE MADE OF FINE WOOD AND FINISHED IN DARK ROSE THE CHIME TUBES ARE A DARK BRONZE. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH FOR THIS PRODUCT. I WILL BE 69 OCTOBER 10 AND HOPE GOD GIVES ME AS MUCH TIME AS HE CAN SPARE SO I CAN BE BLESSED TO ENJOY THEM FOR YEARS TO COME. THANK YOU FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO READ THIS. I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN THE BAY AREA OF CALIFORNIA IN A NAVY FAMILY. I JOINED THE ARMY ON MY 18TH BIRTDAY AND WILL NEVER REGREAT THAT TIME IN THE SERVICE. I HAVE BEEN TO MANY COUNTRIES INCLUDING 39 DAYS IN DEC., JAN. IN UKRAINE, USSR UNTIL 1991. HAVE BEEN TO MOST STATES IN THE USA BOTH BY MY SERVICE AND MY SERVICE TO IBM FOR 30 YEARS. I’m enjoying these tremendously. I’d always wanted Woodstock chimes and these are perfect. I usually buy easy on the budget cheaper chimes which are usually higher pitched tinkling chimes but I love a deeper sound. The price was right in my price range and I felt I deserved a better quality. I have them right outside my bedroom window and am enjoying listening to them now.

The tonal quality is lovely and it doesn’t take a heavy wind for them to chime gently in even a slight breeze. Very tranquil. The quality of the chimes, the evergreen color of the tubing, and the beauty of the wood sections is excellent.

Beautiful and sounds pleasing

I always said a house isn't a home without a windchime, and this windchime really adds to our home. I have a chronic illness where sometimes the most I can do is make it out to the porch to sit. I like listening to the birds and now, I love listening to my windchimes. They really help to create a peaceful, nurturing environment with their happy sounds. Even when I can't make it outside, I just want to leave my porch door open all day so whenever they chime I can hear them. They're really amazingly beautiful, just a work of art. The sound is even better than I had hoped for, and even my husband commented on how gorgeous they were and how nice they sounded. They're very high-quality and choosing Woodstock was a good decision. I'm going to buy some for my grandmother, too!

Lovely sound. I am ecstatic with this choice. Makes me wonder what the other Woodstock Chimes sound like. There is another set of chimes recommended by Amazon which I bought first for less money. They are much smaller, but the sound is very nice. If you have room and don't mind the extra cost, I highly recommend the larger Woodstock variety. The difference between the two is that it takes a lot more breeze to get the small ones chiming; the Woodstock, however, chimes with a gentle breeze producing a musical melody that is haunting. The more the wind picks up, the more the sound picks up; but, the sound doesn't travel as far because of the ambient wind noise. In my opinion, they are never too loud. I have mine set up at the corner of the apartment, high up but below the second story bedroom; the melodic tones at night create an effective lullaby.

I've had these chimes for about a year and I couldn't be happier with the construction, color, and sound. I've always purchased chimes with the larger tubes as it makes a deeper sound unlike the smaller tubes. It has weathered wind, high humidity, and intense FL sun and heat with absolutely no damage or color fading. I will only purchase from this company in the future. Thank you Woodstock for all of my calm and peaceful moments.

Paid nearly double the price at a local nursery. It was so worth it then and finding this on amazon for so much cheaper meant i had to get one for someone else! At first they didnt think it sounded the same and was very disappointed, but once they sat down and actually enjoyed it they agreed it does sound the same. It is truly majestic sounding and i dont know how or why but its worth every penny! The lady at the nursery said shes had hers nearly 7 years and keeps it outside all year round (Seattle) and said it cooperates with the weather and doesn't age! I hate buying chimes and seeing the slowly fall a part and rust. I've never purchased a pricey one before and i definitely would purchase from this company again, anytime! PS i did keep the one that i bought local because its a precious small business and great part of the community, but i will not hesitate to buy off here for the deal :)
