This was a better price then my 40 pin. Love the row counter, so much easier. Definitely worth buying.I bought this 48 pin for adult size hats, works well

Great little machine, love it !
Wonderful way to knit when you have trouble with a flat knitter or hand issues. I have a yarn stash going back 30+ years and have been using it up in the few weeks since this little wonder arrived. Not everything works, it's trial and error as some brands just do better than others, some colors also. Not sure if it's the manufacturer or the way it's been finished but when you find a brand that works you can really go to town! The machine has 48 needles so it's a big tube that can be easily turned into hats, scarves, even sweaters and blankets. This machine is very similar to a Sentro or Jamit and any of their YouTube videos, or the Addi ones, can be done with this machine. I've already made over 50-60 beanie style hats - you can do 3-5 in one evenng while watching tv, compared to the old way - and am currently doing long two skein tubes to make a blanket. Videos are a good learning tool, many new techniques and stitches to learn! This machine came with yarn, instructions and a zipper case containing metal crochet hooks from yarn size down to tiny thread size, yarn needles, a tape measure and a screwdriver for assembly.

Great buy but..
It been using this to make hats, I made tons of hats for winter but can't figure out the flat panel stitching, tried youtube but maybe I need to practice but I do like using it for the tube knitting to make hats, my tensor snapped in half after a knot formed and I didn't know and kept knitting and it snapped which scared me. I can't find a replacement so I have to use my hand to adjust the tension. Im not sure if suction cups would work well on flat surfaces it will not work hardwood floors. I tried a flat table but it kept moving while I was knitting so had to hold it down which made it harder. I'm still able to make hats and I still live the machine. Just wish I had a tensor replacement for it, the stitch counter works fine on my machine.

There is a learning curve, no doubt about it, but..
After I ordered the machine, I was worried because I heard people complain about dropped stitches, tucked stitches and machines that just didn't want to cooperate. I have to say that the particular machine I received works beautifully! The hat is made with Caron Simply Soft. My machine had no problem with it. I made the hat in an hour! Mind blown. When I use needles it takes a week. The hat isn't perfect by any means, but for a first try on a new machine, it's not bad either! There are Facebook groups for machine owners. If you are interested in a knitting machine, but are wary, join a group and learn what you will need to know. Also, youtube was my best friend tonight. I know that I now need to find videos on fixing dropped stitches (I dropped one taking the yarn off the machine) and how to sew the top up so it looks clean. I put a pompom on mine to hide that! Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.Oh, one thing to know. All of these pink and white machines are made by the same manufacturer. The only difference is the vinyl lettering they put on for each company that sells them. I was told this by more than one group member when I was disappointed I wasn't getting a Sentro.

Great Machine
I opened the box, attached the legs and suction cups and the tensioner and made a hat. It was as easy as that. I have several of these machines and some work better than others. This one is a little clickety but there was not one dropped stitch for the entire 140 rounds. I am very impressed. This is a great little machine and the price is excellent as well. I consider this a great purchase.
