Super Turbo 17743 Exhaust Muffler

GMC 1 ton dually, works perfect, I can feel the difference in power and get an extra 75kms per tank. Best of all, most importantly, is quiet, almost like same as stock.

I own a '21 Charger R/T, which come with the Adaptive Performance Exhaust, 2 3/4 pipes with two sets of straight through resonators, with a computer control valve between them. Beyond loud and in traffic, it drones; completely unacceptable and annoying. Comments on these mufflers were that they eliminated the exhaust drone, so I ordered a pair to be installed in place of the forward two resonators. The muffler shop cut out the resonators and welded in the Dynomax mufflers; wow, what an improvement. The car is quiet when cruising, with no drone at all when in traffic, a nice deep rumble under partial throttle and still has a loud bark under full throttle. A perfect solution to the problem and makes the car a pleasure to drive now!!

These are advertised as 3”. In fact the inlet/outlet fit on 3” pipe, however they neck way down to about 2.25” inside the muffler—possibly causing restriction. I like the sound, but am not sure about how well they actually flow.

My factory exhaust is 2.75, so i wanted 3 inch inlet to slip over the stock pipe. i was really excited but upon further inspection the turbo style Dynomax mufflers are all the same size, they just weld the desired tip size on the end and call it a day. Unfortunately the "LARGE FLOW TUBE" insert inside the muffler is a measly 2 inch into the ~2.5 inch internal piping.i Might consider this muffler if i was running a 2 inch pipe but the insert is not flush with the rest of the internals of the muffler. so it still creates turbulence and back pressure unlike what is described on the box.It makes sense why these work so well as a 'performance' muffler that does a great job of keeping your vehicle quiet. it chokes it down to 2 inches, adding additional backpressure from the lip of the large flow tube insert.i mean if you call 2 inches Large, who are you really lying to?
