SimplicityPanama Style Trilby Fedora Straw Sun Hat with Leather Belt

The media could not be loaded.  This straw Panama hat is well made with a very stylish design, in addition to a well thought out reddish brown faux leather belt around the brim. That simple element makes it stand out in a very classy way, and to remove any doubt, it’s basically a lot nicer in person than any of the similar hats you’ll find at Target, which are actually made out of paper. That’s not a typo, for a very similar price, those literally paper hats may look nice at first, but they lose form and fall apart fairly quickly with mild use. This Panama hat on the other hand, it’s been with me for some time now, and it gets worn constantly while Djing. My head doesn’t seem like it, but it’s deceptively large, and the extra large size is perfect for me, allowing me to position my dense curly hair around the outside of the brim comfortably. For me, this serves a few purposes, one, the hat looks nice, and two, it prevents headphone hair, which simply occurs when the headphone band covers the top of my hair while pre-cuing songs.On a more personal note, this Panama hat covers a relatively light scar on my forehead, which occurred during recovery shortly after a drunk hit and run driver hit me while walking across the street. There are also only two things to note about this hat, while preparing for Djing, the constant motion of setting up the speakers and the rest of the equipment can cause sweat to build up before even beginning to DJ. One of the easiest ways to avoid this is to take three tear away sheets of 2 or 4 ply paper kitchen towels, and use the inner lining around the front of the Panama hat to hold it in place. This will keep the hat from getting darker due to work related sweat. Lastly, this hat looks so nice that frequently while Djing, women who come by my booth try to remove it from my head so they can wear it while they’re dancing. That’s something that’s a definite no for me on several levels, but it does speak to how nice the hat actually looks to people who come out to dance. It’s well packaged too, as it comes with a plastic shell that maintains the shape of the hat in the delivery box. All in all, this is an easy 5 star product. The Panama hat is well made, comfortable, nicely stitched, and very fashionable. Of the 3 Panama style hats that were purchased from this company, which includes the jet black hat, and the black and white one, this light beige hat is my personal favorite because it adds a classic looking pop of color to any outfit.

Fits and looks great

Looks great and I love the adjustable strap and Velcro pads to put in the sweat band to adjust fit! Look forward to wearing it on the 4th and every other sunny day.

I've got a fat head so with a little stretching I think it would fit or sit better upon my noggin. Good quality.

Once again, my head and hair did not fit. I tried a man’s hat hoping it would fit… No luck. Nice, we’ll made hat but too small for me.

The hat arrived exactly as advertised and described on the site in just 3 days. It was packaged in a sturdy box with a form fitting plastic mold to help keep the shape. It is smart looking, stylish, and definitely what I was looking for. It also looks more expensive than the moderate price tag. Highly recommended!

The small box in Your delivery photo contains the hat and shoes. As you can see it's a very small box not nearly big enough for the hat let alone the shoes too. The person packaging this box made a very loud statement to me. With no other packing materials other than light weight plastic bags on each. They placed the shoes in the bottom of the box then turned the hat on it's crown against the shoes and took both hands and smashing the hat into the box taping it closed. You can imagine what the damage to the hat must have looked like to me. You would have to be with me to see what my facial expression must have been when I cut the tape and the hat popped up much like a jack in the box. The straw had been creased over the entire hat and will never come back to it's original shape. My favorite choice was a Stetson . I talked myself out of it because I had concerns about the damages that may have been caused to its original condition. I will not be returning this hat for replacement but rather I will keep it in plain sight as a reminder to not order any kind of soft goods in the future. I have purchased over three thousand dollars in merchandise from Amazon since April l would like to think that that fact alone will be enough to encourage you to make things right. The decision is entirely yours.

Traveled well. Took this hat on a trip and packed it with the plastic mold and had no problems. It has a velcro piece to make it fit your head.

This hat arrived promptly. It fits perfectly but arrived crushed.

I purchased the Khaki color fedora hat with the brown band about a month ago and absolutely love it. It’s made beautifully!!! And because I loved the Khaki color hat I wanted more colors. I got the navy with black band just today and am very disappointed. It will have to be sent back. In the pictures you can see how the front is “puckered” and the sewing under the band is terrible. There’s a little loop thread in the front that I could have snipped off and lived with. But the puckering and the poor sewing is not appealing to me and I could not wear it like that. Again very disappointed because I do love this style and love the Khaki hat.
