I applied this 1 hour before getting a large thigh tattoo. Wrapped my leg with saran wrap, as others suggested, and it worked! I still felt it, but it really felt more like I was being scratched. Lasted several hours. I would recommend this for anyone getting a tattoo. There is also enough in this container to more than cover a large area.

I originally bought this for facial microneedling and later used it for laser hair removal. I first tried the microneedling without any numbing and it felt like facial torture. On my next treatment, I applied this to my face with plastic wrap over it for about 30 minutes. I then reapplied a thin second layer without plastic wrap just to be sure. Oh wow; I felt ZERO pain or discomfort.I later did laser hair removal without any numbing. It hurt quite a lot on my more sensitive areas. The second tine around, I did the same routine with this cream and, once again, I felt ZERO pain or discomfort. This stuff is the work of miracles for such treatments. Also, I have quite sensitive skin and this did not make me break out at all.

Laser hair removal has become much more tolerable now that I have this!!!!

Used this for a very large back tattoo. I rubbed some in on my back then slathered a layer on top over that. I was wrapped in saran wrap for 2 hours prior to starting needle work on my tattoo.. The saran wrap will heat it up which makes it work better. There were some areas on my back that were relatively numb (none fully painless or totally deadened). Other areas were definitely not numb at any point. No rhyme or reason to that other than all of us react differently I guess (?). I cant imagine doing a half day tattoo without this cream (id definitely not have made it!!!) but I can also say that you shouldn't be fooled into thinking your skin will be truly numbed (fully). Id buy it again and use on any area I was tattooing. That one tube did cover my whole back. I had no weird skin reactions, didn't itch etc. 4 stars only bc it didn't truly numb me - more like took a bit of the edge off a few hours of a 6 hour tattoo. Please do keep in mind this cream isn’t designed to last more than a couple-4 hours. Not all tattoo artists will do a tat if you use numbing cream so always ask first!

I purchased this product to help with the pain during facial electrolysis. I applied the cream an hour before treatment, then covered with saran wrap. At the treatment, my esthetician would peel back the saran wrap and clean the area before treatment. Once wiped off, this product stopped working within 5-10 minutes, even though it had been on for over an hour. Regular strength Aspercreme available at any store worked better for me than this product. Would not recommend.

This wasn't 't very effective for me, despite following all directions and wrapping and reapplying. But I haven't found any as of yet that were super effective so it could be that my skin isn't receptive to numbing creams in general.

NOthing takes away 100% of the feeling but if you put it on and wrap it for an hour then tattoo, it works pretty well

I started my back tattoo last month. Got the whole outline done, the lower back was the worst tattoo pain I've felt, I have my arms, hands, neck, stomach, ribs, legs done, but the back was the worst! I ordered numbskin for round two, which was yesterday. I put a think layer on, wrapped myself with plastic wrap, and let it sit for about 35/40 minutes. Wiped it clean and drove about 15 minutes to the shop, and started the tattoo as soon as I got there. So I'd say about 20 minutes since wiping the numbskin off, and there was no pain at all! I felt some pressure, I felt the needles, I could tell I was being tattooed, but no pain at all! I am going to use this for all my tattoos from now on.
