Compact, Lightweight (Basic) Kit
This is a nice compact kit with all of the necessities. I carry it in my work backpack and with me when I'm travelling. It includes all of the basic supplies and the case has room for a few additions.

Great First Aid Kit
We have one of these kits in both our cars at home and I am purchasing them for our vehicles at work too. The soft case makes them easier to store and they are small enough to stuff into a glove compartment (6"H x 4.5"W x 2.5" D). These kits are made for hiking so they make them small and portable. I have found that with first aid kits, the larger kits don't really prepare you for more serious injuries unless you start getting into the professional kits, they just give you more of the supplies used for minor injuries. This kit gives you enough supplies to address minor injuries a few times and honestly with the larger kits the stuff usually expires before you use it. This kit's most notable short comings are probably that it has no cold pack or gloves but if you keep it in a car like I do the cold pack would bust in the heat anyway and its really easy to add gloves. If you are trained and want to carry more advanced supplies or it is for a workplace this kit is probably not enough but for the layperson this kit is plenty.

Perfect
Was very confused by the 1-star review above, but decided to order anyway. Received it yesterday and it looks like exactly what I wanted and expected. I wanted a personal kit for a Boundary Waters trip to keep on me at all times.... just in case. There will be several kits among everyone going, so I didn't really need it to have everything, just basics. Like someone mentioned, there is some extra room to add some specific stuff...I'll probably do some water proof matches and personal meds. I'm happy with it... nice and small, perfect for packing.

Perfect little kit
This thing is legit or its small size and its contents. It is great for camping or for a bug out bag. It has just about everything you would ned, not a huge amount of each item but that isn't the purpose of this little kit. I would get the size bigger if you were to get this for a household kit.

Great kit for “bug out” bag
I bought this kit to add to my survival everyday carry backpack aka “bug out” bag. Fits great and has essentials and enough items for 1 person!

Light weight, low-risk kit
Let's see, what do we expect out of a $12 8-ounce kit first aid kit?I was looking for a light weight first aid kit that addressed the basic "boo boos" encountered on the trail. This kit addresses the need and is better thought out than a lot of the competition. The NOLS Ultralight 2.0 is a bit better, but twice the price. (Thus the 4 stars rather than 5).This kit has band-aids, a couple of 2x2 and 3x3 sponges, basic over the counter pain meds (ibuprofen, acetaminophen, aspirin), moleskin, tape, tweezers, etc. It's pretty much "boo boo" basics. The "after-bite" wipes are nice and will take the edge off of a bee-sting.I traded out the 2" ace bandage for a 3" Coban and added safety pins & a triangular bandage to better address potential ankle/knee and wrist/lower arm injuries. May trade out a couple of the antiseptic wipes for some second skin burn dressing. Not sure how useful the button compass is, as an orienteering compass is part of a normal hiker's kit. The whistle will stay in as a back-up.When you're out on the trail, your most important first aid tools are your (calm) brain and imagination. You'll need them if traveling light with small first aid kits. For bigger fractures you're going to be looking for sticks, belts and spare clothing for splints. For bigger bleeds, it will be a wadded up tee shirt held/taped into place.Kits this size are more about convenience and comfort than "life saving" and I feel confident that this kit will serve those purposes "just fine" and better than most.

Great
Fast shipping!! Kit had everything that was stated in there add. Also, there is room to add some extra, small mirror, magnifer glass, zip ties, heat patch, water proof matches. I would also replace the whistle with better quality. The one with the kit is more of the type that you would get from a gumball machine and not something I would want to depend on as a "life saving" device. All in all, it is a good starter kit.

Very Basic, Don't Bet Your Life On It!
This is a very basic first aid kit. The supplies are for 1-2 people, so probably would be adequate for a day trip or over-nighter. The first aid cards are helpful, and there is a small whistle and compass. These are essential for emergencies. However, the quality of the bandages is lacking. There is one very thin piece of moleskin (not even adequate if you are doing some serious hiking). The medical tape that comes with the kit is poor. There are a few other "boo-boo" items in additions to some minor meds. So overall the kit is better than a box of band-aids, however you could definitely assemble something like this from items in your own house (for less cost). If you want something pre-assembled that isn't too expensive this is adequate, however when you actually get out in the wild and have to use it...the quality of the items provided will definitely be better than nothing at all...but I think if you are serious about outdoor activities....bring items YOU packed, YOU are familiar with, and that YOU can count on!
