Lend - A - Hand Foam Grip Excellent For Steps
Bought this for my back steps. There are only two steps, so it works perfectly. Just large enough to grab onto, yet not so large that it is in the road.

Works well for 'odd' stairs - especially for individuals that are disabled :-)
We installed this in a home that has a stairwell that ends with 4 of its steps coming into our dining room. Our disabled son couldn't get up those 1st four steps. Frankly, the wood steps are too smooth for the rest of us when wearing just socks. So, I ordered this - much to my husbands horror. We'd just purchased a beautiful new home with beautiful woodwork and wood floors - all decorated in bronze, etc. & I was going to ruin it all with a camper accessory? On & on. I didn't think I'd ever hear the end of it.Well, thanks to it's quick arrival, I didn't have to listen to his list of negatives for too many days (although it seemed like forever)! I ordered black, hoping it would look OK. It does. It installed easily. My husband proudly showed it off to those who helped us move - flipping it off to the side, so that we could get large pieces of furniture up the stairs. It's not exactly home deco, but it fits in. Sometimes we have to think outside of the box - this time it really paid off & for what I consider to be a reasonable price. It was easy to install. I should know, I proudly installed it myself! :-)It's sturdy. As a matter of fact, my husband injured his knee since the installation of the Stromberg Carlson. He's a large man 225lb. He's smaller than he used to be - he's lost 50 lbs! Sorry, just had to brag on him a bit:-) Anyways, not only did he end up liking this grip the moment he saw it, but he ended up having to use it and put quite a bit of weight on it for several months. It held up great. It does feel a little wobbly (from side to side), but I think it's probably related to its ability to be moved out of the way. It's always had a bit of 'give' to it, and over the last 9 months, it has not gotten any worse.I can't testify to it's use on campers, it's ability to withstand weather, etc., but I can tell you it opened a whole world (or at least the upstairs level of our home) to my son. The smile on his face when he can do something independently makes up for all the huffing and puffing I had to listen to from my husband. By the way, my husband agrees this grip is one of the smartest purchases we ever made & that it didn't 'ruin' our home. You'll all be proud of me that I never even told him those 4 little words - "I told you so".

Handrail
Easy to install. Quality is good. Nice replacement from our short grab bar. Folds nicely. Has a little wobble when grabbing it, but is to be expected. Have not travelled with it yet.

Great to Balance and Stabilize
My husband is handicapped and has trouble getting in and out the doors. Having to open the door and maneuver in, even with a cane is slightly dangerous and sometimes he slips. I have asthma and I get exhausted sometimes coming inside myself after going up the steps. This makes it so much easier. We have them at all doors now. Other family members have ordered them and they are great to hold on to. If you have someone using a cane, or that has trouble getting up that step inside, this is a great help and keeps you from falling for sure. No end to where these can be useful. Anywhere you need to pull or balance is great. A friend even has one on the wall by the head of their bed they use to get out of the bed. The one they were using was attached to the bed, which wasn't always ideal for making the bed. This works great. The fact that you can fold them to the side is a handy feature. They install in less than a couple of minutes... drill the screws in and you're ready to go! Highly recommend.
