What a fun Royal Romp!
I do like a well written Royal Romantic Comedy. This is correctly identified as a comedy. I had some really good laughs. It is also a romantic yet clean story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Could not put it down. I totally loved how the niece of Country Music Royalty met the son of a small English Channel country royalty (hmmm 44 such small countries really? That means I have a lot more royal family books to read). I especially laughed at all the country lyrics sprinkled through the story! May his dong fall off.

Good story
Claire has just broken up with her long-term boyfriend whom she caught cheating. She now moves to a small town in Oregon to get away from the limelight her famous family always garners. She meets Geoffrey, a chef at the lodge she works at, but tries to fight her feelings for him. But her famous mom comes to visit her and keeps meddling in the picture. Geoffrey has a secret no one else knows, and it is one that keeps him from wanting to play with Claire’s feelings because he knows the end result would be heartbreak for her. But fate has other plans for the two. This is a fun story with fun characters. Tooty and Sharon, Claire’s mom, are pretty hilarious. It’s a prince falling for a commoner type story, with all that angst and drama that comes with that. Good book.

Do you believe in fairy tales?
4.5***** stars. Delightful story about Claire’s broken relationship, although she’s not heartbroken, and Geoffrey who is avoiding going home to get married and take up his royal duties, which he doesn’t want. She is an event planner with famous family members. He is a head chef from a royal family but third in line. Last time they met was close to hostile, this time not so much. They are falling for each other but he has to leave in two months. That doesn’t stop parents and close friends from manipulating and interfering. Very entertaining and enjoyable story in this series! Stand-alone but does have references to characters from previous books.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

loved it!
This series is so sweet, and I love the images of Oregon it conjures in my memory. Whitney Dineen's writing is incredibly funny as well as quite touching, and she includes a few heated moments as well. I just love her stories, and It's My Party is a great addition to this series. I read an ARC of It's My Party and am happy to offer this honest review.

3.5 stars. Claire was a mess
I enjoyed the story line and most of the characters. I would have given this of 4 1⁄2 stars except for I didn't care for the female lead. Claire was a emotional hot mess that flip flopped back and forth on her feelings, thoughts and how she treated Geoffrey. She was just a little too over the top. There was no reason for Geoffrey to like her. Other than possibly her looks. I liked Geoffrey who had a huge secret. His situation caused a few issues as well ad her distrust of men.Not sure I am going to continue with the series. After reading the Summary of the next book, I was a little excited about it. Now after meeting Lu at the end of this book, she seems less likeable even, than Claire. Shame, as Alistair seems fun.Standalone, but has some of the same characters throughout entire series. No cheating and no cliffhanger. Get a HFN. No steam, no language, some kissing. Told fro! !multiple character's POVs.

I still enjoy reading this series
Story is fill with laughter at times emotional but entertaining and engaging from beginning to end. Love the moms.Ruby is at it again. She thinks she has a match between Claire and Geoffrey. Claire is not interested in a relationship and she thinks Geoffrey doesn't like her. Geoffrey's commitment makes it hard to have a relationship especially if he's leaving. Geoffrey has a secret that when discovered will impact his many relationship's especially Claire. Recommended read.

Pure escapism
The meddling mothers are at if again! This time it's Geoffrey, the executive chef, and Claire, the event planner, who we met in book 2.Geoffrey has a MASSIVE secret though. While parts of the story were downright silly, this was pure escapism and ultimately a lot of fun to read.
