Can you fill the cup part with beer?  This way you know where you put it down at night, cause it's lit up!

That is an excellent question, and as a beer aficionado I like the way you think. You CAN unscrew the top from the cup portion. I don't know that I would put liquid in there, tho. I just looked at the underside of the lid and it looks like some small pieces of the internal portion of the lamp stick out in various places. Also, you'd have to unscrew it every time you wanted a drink and then screw it back on again to have your beverage be lit up. What a pain to get to your beer. Might I suggest using a bottle or can coozie with a small, skinny glow stick tucked in the side? Beer on.

Question 2

Some rechargeable batteries have a "memory" and charge less if not fully discharged.  What is the best way to charge them if not used regularly?

D.light recently advised that their S300 Lantern now uses long life LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries. Check WikiP for details on LiFePO4 rechargeables. If the S20 has also changed from a NiMH battery pack (in the case of my S10, 3 NiMH 1.2V 350mAh cells) to a safe, long life 3.2 LFP rechargeable battery; then just top it up as necessary. Perhaps someone can comment on whether there is now any overcharge and/or discharge protection? My OLPC XO-1 uses LFP cells, & I left it for over a year - with a steady constant battery drain. However, I appear to have had no problems, in now recharging a totally dead battery pack :-)

I would agree with both Debbie & Amis!!My S2 (a cut down version of this S20) is rated at 24 lumens - so say 24 lumens on High; half, or 12 on Low, with a doubling of runtime.My older S10 uses an earlier LED, together with the inferior triple 1.2V NiMhH 350mAh battery pack - so would not be expected to seem quite as bright.
